@Mcoaty@geonz@sophie_brady I'm curious about the ratio/proportionality ideas too! I don't know enough about that stuff. So 12x4 is equivalent to 6x8 and they multiply to the same product. But the ratios between the factors or a factor and the product are really different?
@Mcoaty@geonz@sophie_brady Is the associative property of multiplication what you're looking for? Could look like Matt's second model, where 6x15 becomes 2x(3x15). It can look like doubling and halving, but it's the same property we use when we turn 2x30 into (2x3)x10 or 40x50 into (4x5)x(10x10).
