The former commander of “Ebubeagu” in Ebonyi state, popularly known as Japan, has been arrested in Enugu state on a kidnapping case.

Japan, apprehended by the Nigerian military, has been presenting himself as a neighborhood watch member in Enugu using that in carrying out many kidnapping cases before meeting his Waterloo

Japan was a right hand man of Dave Umahi and that leads Dave Umahi to appointed him as the commander of “Ebubeagu” in Ebonyi state and he carried out numerous atrocities in Ebonyi and fled to Emene in Enugu state after the court dissolved “Ebubeagu” in Ebonyi state .

MASS EXODUS OF FULANI HERDSMEN FROM NIGERIA

Fulani herdsmen from Nigeria, in their hundreds with over 2 million cattle and sheep are passing through the Mambilla Plateau in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State, heading to the neighbouring Republic of Cameroon and the Central African Republic.

Reports have it that these Fulani herdsmen , who used to reside across the South Eastern and some parts of North Central Nigeria, decided to embark on a mass exodus to save their lives and cattle from the tribal militias targeting them under the pretext of hunting down criminals.

Eyewitness reports indicate that for weeks now, the herders have been spotted transversing through the Mayo-Ndaga axis in Taraba State, heading to the Republic of Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Gabon, and elsewhere, where their lives and animals will be safe from the manhunt allegedly being carried out by tribal militias targeting Fulani people.

Fulani Women, children, and the elderly are also spotted moving on foot or riding on the backs of pack animals, including donkeys and bulls accompanying the cattle, as they journey toward their destinations.

CO-OPTATION: The Statecraft Of Dividing And Controlling Resistance

History shows that governments have frequently combined detention, controlled communication, negotiations, and psychological operations to weaken self-determination movements. These strategies can foster uncertainty, delay collective action, and, therefore, create internal divisions.

A commonly observed pattern involves state control of access and selective negotiation, creating a scenario where a leader's de-escalation and escalation tactics keep followers loyal while the movement's actual demands go unmet.

And, from our assessment, this is the same pattern that has been recently targeted at the IPOB Worldwide Movement.

The state actors' most recent strategy in making the former leader of IPOB look caring and uncompromising has all of a sudden given access to Wawa Barracks, where most of our members, who for years have been denied access to lawyers, families, and friends, are.
It is not coincidental that it is a game to rally more followers swearing allegiance to him, thereby smoothing the destruction of the movement and polarizing it as well in exchange for its negotiated freedom.

But let’s study this historical antecedent to fully understand that we were never the first to be worked on psychologically:

A notable historic instance is the Kenya Land and Freedom Army (KLFA), commonly known as the Mau Mau uprising.

In the 1950s, British colonial authorities captured Dedan Kimathi, the central military and spiritual leader of the self-determination movement fighting for the land rights and independence.
Recognizing that Kimathi was revered by his fighters, the British used his detained status to attempt to co-opt and fracture the movement.

Among the methods discussed by history are the following:

Selective Negotiations: Authorities allowed specific lawyers and intermediaries into Kimathi's prison cell to seek terms for the release of detained Mau Mau fighters and to negotiate a ceasefire.

Using the leader to manage narrative: The goal was to publicly position Kimathi as the one in control of the fighters' fates and willing to cooperate with the colonial government. They hoped this would rally supporters around a state-sanctioned narrative of peace.

Subverting the Movement: By negotiating with the detained leader, the state attempted to divide the movement into moderate followers willing to lay down arms and radical holdouts. This maneuver was designed to undermine the fighters still in the forests, delegitimize the core rebellion, and ultimately justify crushing the remaining insurgents as bandits or criminals. Kimathi's refusal to fully capitulate eventually led to his execution, leaving the British-favored narrative of a compromised, state-managed surrender in its wake.

The lesson for all that are sincerely out for this Biafra freedom movement is that our ability to gather intelligence and figure out how statecraft works with extensive research and superior analysis will definitely ensure our survival in self-preservation.

Victims of attack by gunmen on Irigwe community of Angwan Magaji, Kamaru Ward, Kauru LGA, Kaduna State, in the night of 16th June 2026 were buried amidst tears.

Nine people were killed and 11 persons sustained various degrees of injury.

During the attack, many of the victims that could not run — including children and the elderly — were slaughtered and left in pools of blood.

While President Bola Tinubu claims his government is implementing new security measures to address the rising insecurity in the country, the recent attacks in southern Kaduna show that whatever security measures implemented are not working.

Amnesty International urges Nigerian authorities to protect the people and to make sure that those suspected of responsibility for the horrific killings in Angwan Magaji are held accountable.

We are calling on the government to ensure that an immediate, thorough and impartial investigation takes place to bring perpetrators of this atrocity to justice.

For content creators Engagement, follower increase, and revenue generation is their main goal .

The primary objective of the Focused Freedom Fighter is to achieve concrete change, alter public awareness, and safeguard the rights of their community.

Genuinely, the efforts of freedom fighters are gradual, community-based, and motivated by profound principles instead of social media gratification.

In the end, the influence revolves around establishing trust and strong based community who believe in the cause , while genuine conviction means advocating for a cause without anticipating applause or a payout.
