This. Republicans should confidently run on driving down the cost of healthcare! We can choose #HealthcareFreedom - with expansive HSA’s, health sharing, Direct Primary Care… doctors & patients over insurance companies & big hospitals.
This is the point. The money should be going to HSAs for each American rather than to insurance companies. We need HSAs for All.
Break the wheel of the current system. Imagine if the government paid patients directly via HSAs instead of paying subsidies to third parties. The government pays over $13k per Medicare Advantage beneficiary to health insurers—only $7k of which is covered by Medicare taxes and premiums. The government pays over $2k in subsidies to MA health insurers per enrollee, additionally. They pay over $5k in subsidies to health insurers per ACA exchange enrollee. They pay $10k per Medicaid enrollee to managed care organizations like Centene (which is variable based on capitated categories).
@BrentAWilliams2 The amount of time it takes me to proof read all the bullshit the ai puts in the note and/or leaves out I would argue increases charting time. I’ll pass for now.
@mitsugenzen@anish_koka That’s IF the clinic has no waste, expired meds. They are likely losing money on vaccines unless their staff is extremely efficient and good stewards of vaccine ordering/storage.
If Trump admin thinks we are going to MAHA or AI or Ozempic our way out of an impending physician shortage, they are badly mistaken
You only have to spend one day in any physicians clinic to see just how unhealthy the US population is. Yes it’s the food and our sugar addiction. It’s our sedentary lifestyles and lack of exercise. But damage has already been done and hard to undo especially many in the 65yo+ Boomer generation who are going to need the most from our healthcare system in years to come
These 65yo+ patients are covered by Medicare. Medicare is slated to be insolvent by 2036. And the healthcare delivery system set up by ACA has become bloated and inefficient due to consolidation and lack of competition. The clinical throughput of this system is nowhere close to being able to manage the oncoming healthcare needs of the Boomers. This is an impending crisis not many are talking about. It’s going to be a tidal wave of our parents and grandparents searching and failing to find physicians they badly need.
I see Trump admin all over sectors like tech and energy pushing fast and hard to deregulate and unleash the free market but where are they on healthcare? It’s really been crickets.
Healthcare too can only be truly fixed in this country by unleashing the free market and promoting fair competition. ACA was written to shackle physician access to capital and prevent us from competing fairly with corporate medicine. Trump admin needs to reverse this asap.
Physicians know more than anyone else what it takes to max out clinical output but also maintain high quality of care and decrease cost. That’s what private practice operators like me do all day long. Sure, not too many physicians are great at business but if it’s nearly impossible for the entrepreneurial ones to start and grow a private practice, you know there’s some big time regulatory capture going on. Physicians also took an oath that above else, do no harm and patients always come before profits.
Central planning, stripping physicians of their autonomy, more healthcare consolidation and single payer obviously will not improve access to care nor increase clinical output from physicians. The answer to our impending access crisis is to unleash free market forces in healthcare by giving physicians the right to compete fairly!
Bring back private practice.
Bring back physician owned hospitals.
Bring back competition in US healthcare.

@A10ws @ashernovek @ChuckModi1 Correct me if I’m wrong but in play reviews the officials are responsible for all possible infractions that happened during the play.
@Michael2Turner@SubriaWhitaker There’s a difference between a bad call and calling a foul on the final shot in the finals by touching the shooters non dominant pinky finger only to have it reviewed and upheld AND have the refs miss the travel leading up to the shot in real time and on review. Pretty blatant
