Stop romanticizing the grind. The goal was never to work hard forever. The goal was to work hard long enough to build something that works without you. Hustle is the entrance fee. Ownership is the destination.
The African continent doesn’t need more entrepreneurs. It’s full of them.
What it needs is a specific class of entrepreneurs called industrialists: business people who build value-adding firms in export-oriented job creating sectors, not rent capture.
China didn’t develop through free markets, it developed through strategic state intervention
The government picked industries, directed credit, protected domestic firms, and managed trade.
That’s the opposite of what the IMF prescribes for Africa.
Landlord: Rent has gone up.
Businesses: That’s a natural part of doing business.
Suppliers: Materials cost more.
Businesses: That’s a natural part of doing business.
Worker: My labour costs more.
Businesses: Whoa, whoa... Let’s not get unreasonable here.

Your CEO should be strong.
Your CTO should be wise.

“We are dysfunctional, all of us. You will see someone who stole bread and join them to stone him, but you will praise and bow to those who stole billions. Many of you don’t know that if you are born in Nigeria; you were not born into the world God designed.
Apostle Femi Lazarus

An uneducated people can fall for anything but not a truly educated people I believe. They may become victims still but not naive and docile victims.
The point of design isn't the elimination of all friction. Just as in the real world, controlled friction is important for well-defined, well-rounded experiences.
Africans should stop this thing of surrendering the wealth of this continent to foreigners who have "capital". Gold is capital, chrome is capital, iron ore is capital, cobalt is capital , a river is capital, land is capital and the people here are CAPITAL.
