I also tend to context switch but it gets to the point I lose track of all I’m working on. I’ll often find a chat with Claude the next day and remember I had asked it to do something. Can only hope it’s like the evolution of the internet in terms of speed - in 5-10 years we’ll look back and not be able to believe AI took 5, 10, even 20-30 mins to do stuff.

I think it would win an award for the most confusing UX in the world.

I used it a number of years ago for a trip to Vietnam and bagged a 24hr stopover in HK to explore, and remember thinking it was amazing back then.

Spent 3 weeks building a texting app slower than email. Messages fly at pigeon speed — LA to NYC takes 22 hrs. Sometimes the bird dies & the message isn’t delivered.

My first was exactly like this, and we had the same concerns about screens. Everyone else seemed to use car journeys to put their baby to sleep, whereas ours just hated being in the car.

We decided that using a screen sparingly as a distraction in that specific situation was the lesser of two evils. Being strapped into a car seat and unable to understand what’s happening is a pretty unnatural situation for a baby anyway, and we felt the distress was probably worse than a bit of screen time on the relatively few occasions we needed it.

He’s 3 now, super engaged in physical play, and finally loves the car too 😅
