The Gospel is much more than a book: it is Christ Himself, the Good News for humanity that is confused, deceived, and disappointed by many evils. He satisfies our thirst for justice and truth, and He instills in us the courage to persevere in doing good and to place ourselves personally at the service of our neighbor.
Deep inner suffering inevitably arises when the human person is reduced to performance, consumption, or a statistical datum. Many young people today live under the yoke of expectations to perform, immersed in an exasperated competitiveness that generates anxiety, fear of not measuring up, and disorientation.
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together. In Jesus Christ, this humanity in its grandeur becomes the Way, the Truth and the Life, opening the path for each of us to grow toward fullness. #MagnificaHumanitas

@HoustonTexans I’ll never buy a jersey or tickets for this organization again. Lived in this city my whole life. Absolutely disgraceful and a blatant slap in the face to the majority of your fan base. Congrats.
Canon Commins challenged Fr. Mike to offer a Traditional Latin Mass. Help him lift that spiritual heavy weight by sharing this post! @frmikeschmitz@AscensionPress, challenge accepted?
The Parish of St. Anthony of Padua in New Orleans, Louisiana has asked us to share their fundraiser.
They are raising funds for a new set of vestments (for each liturgical season) which will be used to celebrate the Dominican Rite!

@ruthmccartney__@MikeofTheNation@Breaking911@drewchandlerr If evil is at the helm, turning your back on the Church in Her time of need is accepting defeat. How could you turn your back on Christ’s Bride?
The devil doesn’t fear austerity, he fears holy obedience. Our emotions are irrelevant, but our obedience is essential.
On October 14, 2024, I published a detailed article consisting of two parts. The first part demonstrates that it is fitting to venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary as “Mediatrix of All Graces.” The second part presents Fr. Matthew McCarthy's water-tight defense of the title “Co-Redemptrix.” Together, these two parts establish that there is the same basis for proclaiming these Marian dogmas as there was for having proclaimed the Divine Motherhood, the Perpetual Virginity, the Immaculate Conception, and the Assumption. An appendix shares the text of the Mass approved in 1921 by Pope Benedict XV in honor of Our Lady, Mediatrix of All Graces, and concludes with further recommended reading.

Close of the Pontifical Mass celebrated by His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke at the altar of the Chair in St. Peter's Basilica. The numbers set a record for the largest SP Pilgrimage ever.
The Church dedicates the coming month of October to the #HolyRosary. I invite everyone to pray the Rosary for #Peace each day of the month—individually, in the family, in community. On Saturday, October 11, at 6:00 PM, we will pray the Rosary together in St. Peter’s Square, during the vigil of the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality, also recalling the anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council.
This is your personal interpretation. You ASSUME the thief wasn’t baptized. Scripture NEVER states if the thief was or was not baptized.
Logically speaking, it is just as true to argue that the thief was baptized prior to being crucified because Scripture doesn’t specify that he wasn’t baptized.
The argument from silence fallacy can be made in either direction in regard to the thief on the cross. That is why it is a very weak argument to make.
I invite all the faithful to take part in a day of fasting and prayer on August 22, imploring the Lord to grant us peace and justice, and to wipe away the tears of those who suffer because of ongoing armed conflicts. May Mary, Queen of Peace, intercede so that peoples may find the path of peace.
Your comment is foolish because it implies the Vicar of Christ is some sort of political position.
The Pope is supposed to provide moral and spiritual guidance for the Church and Christians around the world, not push political ideologies. Having opinions on social issues as the Vicar of Christ isn’t the same as being a politician. It’s common sense that the Pope will favor blessing those struggling with sin, just as Jesus surrounded himself with sinners.
If you’re not Catholic and lack an understanding of Christian theology, it’s even more foolish to comment on the Pope’s role in this way.
