My prediction is that we will see a large rise in Freelancing/Consulting in Data in the next 5 years.

There are tens of thousands of companies right now that don't have any dedicated data team. They may not have the infrastructure or the budget to establish one in-house. However, as they begin to realize the importance of data and AI, I believe these companies will likely turn to freelancers and consultants to leverage data insights without the need for a significant upfront investment.

If you want to freelance/consult in Data here are some things I'd recommend:

1. Improve Your People and Data Skills

2. Learn About AI Tools: More and more companies are coming to me for AI advice

3. Develop a Portfolio: Showcase your work for potential clients

4. Build Your Online Presence: Use platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, or your own personal website to demonstrate your skills and experiences

5. Start Networking: Make connections in person, on LinkedIn, at Community Events - wherever you can most easily reach people

6. Register on Freelance Job Platforms: Websites like Upwork, Freelancer, or Fiverr are good starting points. You can also start a side business with an LLC.

7. Start Small: Start with small projects and build a client base for repeat work
