@soulidt it’s because the way they mix her mic flattens all the unique frequencies in her voice that give it texture. and she already has a smooth dark voice, so it’s like double whammy
@SoftLyfe718@problemochile idgaf about their politics, igaf they’re leaving out shit. As I CITED: every borough has neighborhoods getting their power reduced and they not all poor or
Black or having a full outage. you can believe whatever in spite of that but you still gon be sweating doing it. bye.
@SoftLyfe718@problemochile I’m spreading misinformation by telling you exactly what @ConEdison said and where to find it? You can go look for yourself all the neighborhoods they reduced voltage in. I’m not arguing with someone who can’t reproduce shit they’re saying if I just did.
@talkingstocks81@problemochile It’s not folks’ fault, they’re just experiencing a tough time, I’m more annoyed with people taking advantage of that to drum up outrage with misinformation. Which is why we need to protect ourselves.
@SoftLyfe718@problemochile well the White people in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill that got their power turned down today are in Brooklyn and very rich. So who starting bullshit, cuz it ain’t me.
@AZxean@i_Tyrese Andyet Break My Soul went #1 (her legacy artist peers can’t do that), mute challenge spawned a whole new concert gimmick to copy, and Renaissance is still being bumped years later. Drake took the whole Top 10 with streaming last month and nobody like that shit. So what.
@SavvyGCali@SoftLyfe718@problemochile we’re not talking about prices, we’re talking about grid usage and power load. those two things don’t connect here and bringing DSA into it is even further from relevance, so what’s your point
@_leegray@Mr_Everythng the heyday of those shows are now 10 years ago and they are hardly mainstream. The Black teens of today know Jussie Smollett from being the guy who faked a hate crime as a stunt and got out of it. That’s all
@SavvyGCali@SoftLyfe718@problemochile 1. The government doesn’t control the power, ConEd is a private company.
2. Are Williamsburg, Fort Greene, and Clinton Hill poor? Cuz they got their power reduced today too.
@47REMY@SoftLyfe718@problemochile okay and they just announced that Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Clinton Hill and Greenpoint got their power “turned off” as well. Those are *rich* and *white* areas in *Brooklyn*.
@DeezNutzMMA@problemochile@ConEdison for example, their last tweet was that they also reduced service in part or all of Williamsburg, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and Greenpoint. All of those areas are generally rich and non-Black.
@DeezNutzMMA@problemochile go to @ConEdison Twitter account and they list every high-use neighborhood they reduced voltage in the boroughs (not just the Bronx). They also have a video explaining exactly how it works.
@problemochile I don’t work there so idk the specifics but it’s based on the area usage, the part of the grid you’re connected to, and where the repairs are. BUT there are also areas where the infrastructure is weaker so they might face issues more frequently. That’s all I can say accurately.
@AZxean@i_Tyrese Pink selling out a stadium for $50 off old hits so moms can record the same aerial section from 20 years ago is not the same as Beyoncé selling out stadiums in hours for $400 off one new album and an entirely new show. every ounce of silver fabric was gone that year.
@SoftLyfe718@problemochile yeah that’s what reduced voltage does, that’s not the same as your power being turned off across the area. ConEd literally posted about it yesterday.
Also Mamdani doesn’t control ConEd, it’s a private company, so idk what ass you pulled that from. stop playin on my phone dummy
Please remember that ALL NYC libraries are cooling centers. If you happen to be near one and are burning up, just go inside and take a seat. The AC is booming. You might even find a cool book 😉
@thltd_ Yeah this detox shit actually pisses me off bc it’s 1) usually Western exotic consumerism and 2) literally poison 😭 “yeah I put this deadly toxin in me that made me vomit, doo-doo & piss myself, now my tummy’s flat and I feel better” yea duh, now enjoy your destroyed GI tract
@jjlynch2016@MeidasTouch unfortunately, you have to do the commissions either by law or to get evidence-backed buy-in from the big guys to start making changes. but the issue is they take a while and depending on how elections, budgets, or the world goes, they get put on the back burner or scrapped
@offbeatorbit same with the Mahmoud Khalil situation where everyone dogged her for not signing the open letter from Congress just for her to reveal an open letter she commissioned from actual New York officials…crickets afterwards lol
