A coworker & I spent 4+ hours each trying to fix a bug, then we realized Hide My Email has a bug (related to the Keyboard) in apps on iOS 16. It completely irrevocably locks up/hangs an app if you cancel/dismiss Hide My Email instead of tapping “continue”.

Oops. That should be iOS 16, not iOS 14. Hide My Email wasn’t available in iOS 14 and wasn’t available in-app in iOS 15.

(Love this versioning… macOS 13, Xcode 14, and iOS 16 keeps me fumbling when discussing them.)

Is it just me and everyone I know or is there a bug in iOS 14 that causes apps to lock up/freeze until force quit if you cancel “Hide My Email” in a sign-up form?
Works in safari but breaks in every app I’ve tested.
