It still sets both the BoM and the Quran apart - for better or worse.

The creeds of historic Christianity are true. The scriptures and the gospel handed down from the ages did not need to be restored.
Correct. And if you wonder why there is a "are Mormons Christian?" conversation is because of that.
You can't share a name and a faith with people who's churches you believe are "an abomination" and "all wrong".
I just want Mormons to be clear on that fact. If you want to be called "Christians" - at least have the guts to be honest and say you are the only true "Christians". There is a false ecumenicalism from the Mormon side when that is their foundation belief about the rest of us.
