“Unprecedented” doesn’t really do justice to the times that we are living in. As we pull together in a national effort to respond to #COVID19, I want to share some of the things @BritishRedCross is doing to support people & communities. (thread)
One of our three priorities in the new @BritishRedCross strategy is to support people falling between the gaps in the health & care system in areas of high health inequality. So this will be a key element of the evidence base we use to plan implementation.
Our volunteers are currently supporting people affected by #StormDennis across the UK.
We know that when people are caught up in a crisis, one person’s needs are different to the next person, and so we’re on standby to help wherever needed. #flooding
