Bank of Uganda’s Executive Director Finance, Mr. Richard Byarugaba, officiated as Chief Guest at the launch of the Tourism Vehicle Initiative, organised by the Cultural Heritage Association of Uganda.
In his keynote address, he encouraged tourism, hospitality and leisure sector players to take advantage of the improved Small Business Fund, which offers financing of up to UGX 500 million at a maximum annual interest rate of 10%, with a grace period of up to one year and repayment over four years.
With only 6% of current SBF beneficiaries coming from the hospitality industry, Mr. Byarugaba urged more tourism enterprises to utilise the Fund to expand operations, improve service delivery and contribute to Uganda’s tourism agenda under NDP IV.

Prof. Mutebile’s approach to leadership demonstrated that effective succession is not about replacement but about deliberate cultivation of leadership capacity across generations.
We have an innovation strategy to champion sustainable financing and we can not afford all this in isolation, we rather need collaboration with key stakeholders like GRO. Ms Prisca Ampumuza Director strategy and innovation at @BOU_Official
