Hunting the $TIBBIR Konami Code – Part 2 🧵

To recap, @RibbitCapital obviously Konami Coded their Ribbita NFT. There's no reason why they would convert the "S" in "REBELS" to a "5" other than showing 5-7-3.

Peculiarly, @coinbase also clearly Konami Coded their recent announcement with "System 573" one of Konami's machines. "The future of money is here" is the tagline for this event and system upgrade in December.

Now, one of @ribbita2012's favorite examples in discussing Vertical Token Systems (VTS) is @stripe. Please navigate to their website (https://t.co/lcCyDppiPR) and type in the following sequence of characters:

"↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A"

Wow – see that? This is the original cheat code sequence that unlocked easter eggs in Konami's early gaming systems (including Frogger), and Stripe has stealth programmed their website to react to it as well.

This seeded an idea – what if there are easter eggs, hidden publications or team members on Ribbit Cap's website (https://t.co/Wtq5VP3hrF) which reveal themselves upon entering Konami Code? So I went to every page on Ribbit Cap's and tried some combinations:

"↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A"
"A B → ← → ← ↓ ↓ ↑ ↑" (Backwards)
"T I B B I R" (@beeple computer art password)

and a few other combinations of these sequences (ex. hitting "Enter" after each, lower/upper case), but no luck.

What if the website for the limited edition mint of Ribbita NFT had a secret portal accessible by Konami Code? Unfortunately we may never find out if that existed, as the website has since been taken down.

Still there may be $TIBBIR secrets out there hiding in plain sight, waiting to be discovered, just like Stripe's website...
