Health interns—Medical Officers, Dentists, Pharmacists, Nurses and Clinical Officers deserve fair and timely remuneration and decent working conditions.
With industrial action set to begin on Monday, we urge the Ministry of Health to urgently engage interns and resolve these concerns through meaningful dialogue.
We are ready to serve Kenyans. We only ask to be treated fairly.

WHO warns countries, including Kenya, to stay alert after a deadly disease known as Nipah virus re-emerged in India.
Nipah virus is actually a rare but serious virus spread from animals (like fruit bats) to humans, and it can also spread between people in close contact.
Al Jazeera reports that NAN and Artificial foods given to babies in Afrika have 50% more added sugar than in other areas.
They add that the WHO has warned that sugar fed to babies predisposes them to developmental failures and chronic metabolic diseases.
But the educated illiterates don't listen.
They have refused to breastfeed and instead feed their children all these useless products.
Babies need food, not products.
