@EricDziadzio The Ultima one is pretty neat though because finding a way to kill Lord British was an ongoing fixation of most numbered Ultima games.
Pulling it off in UO basically Rains pretty much won Ultima.
@Tepafray@ModernVintageG We've actually seen many of these problems before, though. This is in essence the same kind of Tile Map problem you get when trying to display bitmaps on the NES.
@Tepafray@ModernVintageG The big bottleneck here is that the CPU cannot directly write to the display. So while you could create a display bitmap, you cannot simply write it to the screen, so you have to have a layer of code in there that creates the screen image with the elements that it can be made of
@EricRichards22 It's fine in A New Hope because you never have to think about it. But at the end of the day you're constrained by the lifespan of Luke.
Many fantasy stories make it more than one generation. But "Luke, I am your Grandfather" doesn't really scan as well.
