Mohammad Gufran Shaikh allegedly entered a Garba event at Santosh Bhuvan, Nalasopara East, and harassed minor Hindu girls.

When one brave girl objected, he allegedly slapped her and reportedly said, “Do whatever you want. I’m not afraid of the law.”

Shockingly, people were recording the incident instead of intervening.

The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has issued a show-cause notice to you in a criminal contempt matter, and now you are glorifying the burning of the Supreme Court and attacks on public institutions in Albania, ending with “Especially 🇮🇳”.

This reflects a disturbing disregard for the dignity of the Supreme Court and shows that you are willing to go to any extent to promote anarchy and intimidate constitutional institutions.

Is this an attempt to threaten the Supreme Court into acting according to your wishes, or a message suggesting that India should face similar violence if the Court does not?

Let this be absolutely clear, the Supreme Court of India cannot be intimidated by threats, and no individual is above the Constitution or the law. Democratic dissent is a right; glorifying violence against constitutional institutions is not a licence to undermine the rule of law.
