hey @Fluttermind I can't get Moonring's follower system out of my head. rare to find a game that does NPC logic so frictionlessly. it inspired a whole project I'm working on!
got any tricks or insights? I'm planning a GOAP system atm, but def open to simplifying
Hey there! We are Fuchsteufelswild, a new indie game dev team working on #OnceUponADie, a dice building roguelike set in the 1970s fairytale apocalypse. Wanna learn more? Check out a first sneak peak of the game here:

@MjTheHunter@truffle paper prototyping is fundamental! I recommend any designer interested in systems design not just make prototypes of systems for digital games but also hone their craft by occasionally designing and prototyping tabletop games. huge lessons in precision and scoping
@raphkoster@MjTheHunter (NB the mass amount of lines is bc I'm an obsessive linker when using markdown. everything is conceptually in the same ecology and I like marking what system an action is tied to and what of each an object is tied to. once you get a ton of different object types it gets big)
Here's the little Raincaster intro we made for @sixoneindie.com Showcase! We talk about the background and setting of the game, and (importantly) there's a turtle.
the gotcha: the inheritance case.
I would imagine it would be fair for the lien to get rolled into a new mortgage at that point if it couldn't be paid all at once
@EnjoyingShows@hankgreen@lawsonatlas what if it were a combo:
- property tax is tied to value of property as it changes
- a snapshot of the tax is taken at purchase
- owners pay the snapshot while living in the home
- difference builds up as a lien, paid out at transfer of the property (sale, inheritance, etc.)
There is no legal requirement to have an email address, nor is there a requirement to have a cell phone or use certain apps. But our government and far too many corporations behave as though this is the case.
It's a tremendous problem.
@thinkingshivers@BenShindel Claude probably went "well, the assassin is in that one that works with Captain, and those two are blue team's, so I better just limit how many they guess" like a novice
@BenShindel@thinkingshivers my friends hate me because I look at this and go "Captain should be at least 7, and if any of these collide you shouldn't have picked Captain"
(whistle, kid, boom, port, mile, boss, and jet, + I'd accept step, tail, bone, and cliff if they could squeeze those in)
The same week that we launched our game Piece by Piece on Steam
Another studio also launched a game called Piece by Piece on Steam
so I told my lawyers to get ready, and we
created a Steam bundle that contains both games at a discounted price
@stefaesthesia@tnnrnwll sounds exactly like the kind of market I'd make, but I can't find it either. maybe you're thinking of "sex in office"?

or "who will be the last standing"?
