@astr0br3ak_ Because trans women aren't typically socialized the same as cis men. There's a good chance that this woman never saw herself as a "boy" and she has every right to reject that notion.
@hiwattei4@MicroDoseHon What about the repercussions of being forced through irreversible changes of your natal puberty. Transitioning at 15 has better effects than transitioning at 21. The regret rates are too low to argue against it.
@ghostvesselmads I wouldn't give a fuck if these people kept to themselves but they're constantly trying to speak for trans people as a whole. I'm sick of hearing "as a transmasc..." followed by bioessentialist gibberish.
@biomefest@pipeshotgun There's lots of chill cis guys in the world and likely some that you share interests with. You don't have to tell them that you're trans either if you're just chatting on the internet.
@skramouttahere Not unfair at all. Johnny is an infuriating character. Yet the book has an incredible way of making you sympathize with him as time goes on (also depending on how you interpret certain plot elements, YMMV).
@TGTKv1@wearyemoji I assume you didn't have malicious intentions with this but referring to trans men as "transmen" and insinuating that we're completely different from cis men is textbook bioessentalism. Gender is not necessarily complicated for trans men the way it's not for cis men.
