@svpino I think in general storage is cheaper and it’s better to just set two fields, the boolean and the date it was last updated, if you need that data
@svpino counter argument that comes to mind is this could harm query performance
instead of querying for true you have to query for not null or type is date, which can be more expensive, especially when querying across several fields
@levelsio@cannyHQ@FTC Your subscription is cancelled so we don't show a cancel button. You won't be billed again.
It says "Expiring: Nov 23, 2024".
It has never been impossible for customers to cancel or downgrade a Canny subscription. I'd appreciate it if we can stick to facts here.
@arjunquera@levelsio@cannyHQ He's completely wrong about the AI bot. There's a button that says "talk to a person" and it connects you with a human. Our average response time is minutes during biz hours.
@KhushiLunkad@levelsio@cannyHQ Thanks for the kind words! We shipped a self-service cancellation flow yesterday.
You've got it exactly right, this was the original flow in 2017 and we had a task to improve this and didn't prioritize it correctly – that's on us.
How to get feedback from your users in the early days:
- add a live chat (@crisp_im)
- add a book a demo button (@savvycal)
- add a feedback and bugs board (@cannyHQ)
Then, listen to everything they say.
If they tell you they want a feature, build it.
@immad product was a pain, complete opposite of mercury
they missed basic filings and getting it fixed was a huge chore
after switching off they didn’t pay, file, or refund taxes they withheld
