Just experienced a *very good* phishing attempt:
- Calls from an SF number - Mountain View area code
- Identifies themselves as a Google employee - there's a LinkedIn account for this person
- Sends a confirmation email from a google account to "prove" that it's not a scam: from [email protected]; mailed-by https://t.co/VALeVG9lMt; signed-by https://t.co/wFtjGkHzmA
- Says that you have been reported as deceased, and somebody is trying to recover your account; this call is to verify
- Writes up an "official report" now that they have been able to contact you to see you are not deceased
- As the final step, pushes a notification to the gmail app on your phone to "help you recover" your account -> this is the hack, the notification is actually them trying to do a password reset: DO NOT CLICK
