People don't want to hear this but there are cool things that AI can create that are currently not possible through traditional digital effects. I think you can maybe get a barely moving image like this from Houdini, but I don't think I have ever seen anything like this outside of AI. It definitely caught my attention as an artist.

That said, when I see something visually interesting like this, my immediate reaction is to try to learn how it was done so that I can learn it myself and adapt it to my own work. And when I find out it's AI, I am hugely disappointed and feel a sense of loss because there's no way for me to take part in the process of creating something like this that would feed my desire to create. Not to mention that the fine control I want as an artist is just not possible right now.

I would never say that this is not art (that's not up to me), and I think the end result is really cool, but personally I've had no experience using AI for image generation that left me feeling fulfilled as an artist. For me the journey is the destination, and I know that most artists feel this way. The things you learn in the process, those AHA! moments where you figure out how to get exactly what you want are what give me joy day to day. Plus going down the wrong path teaches you valuable things and often leads to new ideas. Outside of deadlines, I never want to skip to the end - there is just too much to enjoy in the process of making things.

Again, I think this result is very cool and I am not knocking it at all. What I am saying is that the process of prompting to image/video has yet to give me any feeling of satisfaction as an artist, and I suspect that those who are hyper-focused on solely using AI to create imagery don't know the joy and fulfilment they are missing by not jumping directly to an end result.

فكرة تجنب الألم والمخاطرة تبدو برّاقة ومغرية في ظاهرها، لكنها كارثية في معظمها، قيدٌ ثقيل يمنع الإنسان من الحركة والتحرّر والحياة، الكثير من طرق الحياة ممزوج بالألم محفوف بالمخاطر -حتى أكثرها غرقاً في السعادة كالحب- وتجنبك هذه الطرق لايعني أكثر من قبولك بأشد المخاطر وأكثرها ألماً: فقدان معنى الحياة!
كما قيل: تكون السفن أكثر أماناً في الميناء؛ لكنها لم تخلق لذلك.
لذا فالأمان والسلامة لاتعني السعادة بالضرورة، فالإنسان لم يُخلق للعيش المفرّغ من الشعور والمعنى فحسب بل خٌلق للحياة الممتلئة بهما.
