@Chirping_Cat_@ArkadienVT@VRChat To be clear I don't really use X and am just here to see what people are saying. Thus, including other factors, I genuinely do not think comparing anything about this to what X does helps your thought in the slightest.
@hazreh@ShadowriverVR If there was at least some way to filter out AI content then people who don't like that stuff just wouldn't interact with it in the first place which would actually preserve the like and dislike system to be more representative metric of how people feel about a given world.
@hazreh@ShadowriverVR I fear that because they will make a like and dislike system that genuine swaths of people being recommended AI content that they don't like will be interpreted as harassment and innocent people will be banned for expressing their opinion.
@Alex_Fox2040@VrronicaJae@VRChat This reinforces the exact mentality of Americans and a bunch of other countries where as long as they don't see the problem then everything is fine.
@Chirping_Cat_@ArkadienVT@VRChat It'll work great until they notice that mostly AI worlds are getting dislikes and their AI focused Community will be mad and then they'll either revert the system or start to ban people who are actually just expressing their opinion.
There are no winners here
@Cobalt2467@VRChat The post contradicts itself fundamentally.
They said that they don't want harassment, yet will implement a like and dislike system, and then multiple times talked about how AI creators are afraid of being harassed.
It's clear who they support.
@IllegalDustbin@ellieautism A lot of people wanted a "No AI" label to show that something was human made. I think that's the best of both worlds because it requires a bit more responsibility on the person and I think less people would abuse that tag.
@ImNitr0h@Repofox@ellieautism You theoretically can if you setup your own web server to check IPs and give a response to your world to act on. But it relies on untrusted URLs and it's technically still against ToS.
