This week I came across the obituary of a photographer named David Plowden. I was unfamiliar with his work, but decided to browse his website after reading that he specialized in photos of trains and industry.
I’m not much of an art guy, but these photos are astonishing. (1/4)
Britain has now crossed a new red line!
A statue of Marwan Barghouti, one of the most notorious Palestinian terrorists, convicted of orchestrating multiple deadly attacks that murdered Israelis during the Second Intifada, has been erected in the UK.
Barghouti is serving multiple life sentences for his direct role in terrorism and the killing of civilians. This is the public glorification of a terrorist on British soil.
Britain is rapidly becoming a country that tolerates and even celebrates those who call for the murder of Jews.
What has happened to this once-great nation?
Hi Zack, I'm a British-born Israeli who was stabbed 18 times by a Palestinian terrorist. Another chopped up my friend in front of my eyes. One got out in the hostage deal. They were paid a salary for years by the UK gov.
Could you tweet: "all of this is a horrific crime. He should be held to account."
Thanks
Amanda Sullivan - CEO Nottingham ICB (Integrated Care Board NHS)
So this lady says she has no idea that an ICB of which she is CEO commissions and then monitors a service.
Your evidence was an embarrassment to you and the people of Nottinghamshire who pay you to look after them.
Every performance and oversight group, every monitoring group you said report to the board. But you clueless person you are the board, you’re the chief exec.
They report to you.
It’s your job to see as a commissioner what you’re paying for is getting delivered ….no one else’s. Dear god you’re hopeless and clueless.
So major crimes by mental health patients happening weeks before the Nottingham attacks. They did not stir you. Did you not ask what the hells going on in my back yard? Did you not ask what an unfit mental health service am I commissioning?
Like Sokolov someone else’s job ……WRONG. It was your job.
You are part of the problem.
If a service is not doing what they should, report, decommission, go to the Sec of State for health but dont place our kids at risk, which you did……
……RESIGN……you should never work in healthcare again.
You are an integral part of why the system went wrong and why the Nottingham attacks happened. The people of Nottingham should have no confidence in you.
Be honorable….step down and resign

Around 4 or 5 years ago the Met came up with a scheme whereby new recruits (who were of a black or minority ethnic background) would be afforded guidance and on-tap assistance throughout their 2 year probation.
There would be a tutor assigned throughout that period to guide them through challenges, issues or concerns. Issues that many or all probationers come access throughout their probation at some stage.
Sadly, if you were white you were on your own and wasn't afforded that extra assistance or guidance.
I was working at Edmonton police station in North London and I challenged this on an internal platform.
Within a few hours I received a personal email from a Chief Inspector and Superintendent, both of whom suggested I refrain from any negative views on this project.
The Superintendent (who still serves today but now in another force) made veiled threats that if I didn't remove the communication or change my view that matters 'could go further'.
Many people today wonder why things aren't challenged in the job, particularly around race related issues.
The problem remains that if you dare to challenge these things, you are either bullied into submission or punished.
Thankfully, I was in my final few months of the job & really didn't care anymore. If I was staying, I would have had to toe the party line and remain silent.
Many officers hate these schemes, but are too afraid to speak out & instead just accept that things are the way they are.
Race plans aren't only external projects within the job, they very much control things internally too.
“As regular, law-abiding citizens, we just assume the law’s going to do the right thing, and the CPS is there to serve the innocent and the victims. But by God, they have just been appalling. They’re so fractured and so broken. We’ve realised that we’re the very last consideration.” — @MrsEmmaWebber

An absolute must read for anyone who has or is asking the question… and is genuinely interested in the response… how could this have happened?

We've kept chickens for year's and this post is categorically, 100% correct and was the main reason why we replaced our white egg layers with Blue Plymouths.
All set. Primed to invade. There are 4,000 ships, 11,000 planes, and nearly three million soldiers, marines, airmen, and sailors now assembled in England for the assault on Fortress Europe.
Goodbye to England. Many of the 73,000 US troops who will see action on D-Day, just 48 hours away, are now being ferried to troopships. Photo by the great Robert Capa. @WWIIMemorial
SEVEN WHISTLEBLOWERS. ONE DEAD WOMAN. ONE KNIGHTHOOD FOR THE MAN WHO IGNORED THEM
In 1999, seven care workers at a BUPA care home in Bromley reported abuse of vulnerable elderly residents.
They followed every rule. They submitted formal evidence. They did everything the law required.
Edna had no family. She was entirely defenceless. Seven people risked everything to speak up for her.
Every one of them lost their job.
Edna died.
The man who received the evidence and chose to act on none of it became Sir Des Kelly OBE, a government advisor on elderly care, head of the National Care Forum, and a welcome contributor to CQC @CareQualityComm policy on the very sector where his inaction let an abuser harm more people.
You genuinely cannot make this up.
These seven became known as the BUPA7. They were the first people in UK history to use the Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA), the law that was supposed to protect whistleblowers. The law that failed them so badly that other workers across the country saw what happened and quietly decided it was safer to say nothing.
That silence has cost lives. It still does.
Eileen Chubb @CompassnInCare, one of the BUPA7, has spent every year since building Compassion in Care and supporting over 13,000 whistleblowers. She has seen the exact same pattern repeat itself across the NHS, social care, finance, construction, and local government.
Report wrongdoing. Lose your job. Watch the wrongdoing continue untouched.
Even if a whistleblower wins at an employment tribunal under PIDA, nobody is legally required to fix the problem they reported. The abuse can just carry on. The risks remain. The tribunal hands out a payout and everyone goes home.
Mid Staffs. Gosport. Rotherham. Bristol Babies. Winterbourne View. In every single one of these cases, someone knew. Someone spoke up. And the system destroyed them for it while the wrongdoing continued.
Robert Francis produced his Freedom to Speak Up review in 2015. Joint investigations by Compassion in Care and @PrivateEyeNews later revealed that the CQC @CareQualityComm lied to the public for years, falsely claiming it had closed 100 care homes when the real number was two.
The same CQC had invited Des Kelly's input into its policy on the sector he had already failed so catastrophically.
Nothing meaningfully changed.
Eileen Chubb is calling for Edna's Law. A law that would make it a criminal offence to ignore a genuine whistleblower, put wrongdoers in front of a criminal court instead of an employment tribunal, protect whistleblowers as protected witnesses, and force corrective action on the actual wrongdoing.
The State would prosecute. Not the whistleblower, who is currently expected to become a legal expert and fight experienced barristers alone.

The core part of the Henry Nowak murder (the part we must not forget and must seriously engage with) is that his killer and family instinctively thought to fabricate a racism narrative because they knew it would give them an immediate advantage and invert the roles at the scene. And it worked exactly as calculated.
It has struck a raw nerve because it makes visible in the most repulsive way imaginable what many have long sensed, that accusations of racism have become a powerful, paralysing force in modern Britain eventually leading to a dying boy being sidelined while the system instinctively prioritised accusations of racism.
Not for the first time, @RishiSunak was right.
When he warned in 2023 that Net Zero would reduce the supply of meat and suppress demand, his critics mocked him as a conspiracy theorist.
But the test was never whether the CCC used the words "meat tax", as the BBC and other SW1 insiders claimed at the time. The real test was whether Net Zero policy requires lower meat consumption, fewer domestic livestock and less land used for farming. In other words, whether it would shrink supply, push up prices and force down demand.
Fast forward three years and Ed Miliband is legislating in line with the CCC’s recommended level for CB7. That matters because the CCC’s pathway shows what meeting that target will likely require.
The CCC assumes cattle and sheep numbers fall by 27% by 2040. Yet this is not happening in a vacuum. Sky News recently found in a mini investigation that farmers have already reduced cattle herds by roughly 3% a year for a decade, due in part to rising costs and changes to UK domestic agricultural policy.
Labour is also pursuing measures that may not carry the Net Zero label, but will have the same practical effect. As we speak, Ministers are considering environmental permits for cattle farmers. They say this is about river pollution, but whatever the stated purpose, the cumulative effect is clear.
Even without a formal "meat tax", this Labour government and their allies in the green blob are adding cost, regulation and pressure to domestic livestock production.
The end result? Higher food bills.

I gave my son a summer job last year because he couldn't find one otherwise. I kept him on in case he needs work this year
Now I have to file monthly returns to HMRC saying I'm not paying him at the moment
They set debt collectors on me because they assumed with zero evidence I would pay him the same every month. I ignored the debt collectors as they'd never get a court order to enforce a debt that didn't exist
Now the pensions regulator is demanding I prove he doesn't need me to start a pension for him. How did they know I had employed him? Probably from HMRC.... So why don't they also know he didn't earn enough to pass the threshold
These people are out of control
It's hard not to see the state as my actual enemy these days rather than an inconvenience to be navigated
This is true pro-activism. @paulpowlesland is a real British hero.
Actually improving nature despite legal threats and insane Government bodies.
Really puts the environmental virtue-signallers to shame.
Great piece from @Channel4News

🚨Reeves hands £1.3bn of taxpayer cash to Universal to build Bedford theme park
What the actual F?
In 2025, all Universal Parks worldwide generated $9.8 billion in sales and $3.1 billion in operating profit.
Does Reeves really think this company deserves, let alone needs, taxpayer funding?
This is £1.3bn of the same tax money that has forced thousands of UK businesses to shut up shop and sent tens of thousands of Brits to the benefits office.
This is lunacy and corruption on a magnificent scale.
I am not joking when I say that Rachel Reeves belongs in prison for a very long time.
Shabana Mahmood has CONDEMNED the Henry Nowak protests in Southampton, saying those responsible will be arrested.
Meanwhile, here she is on a pro-Palestine protest which turned violent and forced a supermarket to close.
She has since deleted this video. Please don't RT it.
