But THEN we figured out if I create a blank equation box, it can fill it in. So now I just create a bunch of equation boxes, and chatGPT can write between them until it needs an equation box, then use the next equation box, etc, to make the worksheet. What a workaround!

I would like chatGPT to help me with a Google docs math worksheet but chatGPT can't use the equation editor, because creating the equation box requires a different interaction. So chatGPT just writes it out in plain text and I was converting it..

Anyway it’s a surprisingly appropriate term. Did you know “golem” was supposed to be a machine? Something that is like an assistant but without personhood and helpful but kind of mischievous and something to be wary of, too

We started calling our LLMs the ‘golems’. It just worked for us because we use different ones (chatGPT, Gemini) and among us it captures the idea that we had expert assistance of some kind but it’s not certain (could be a hallucination, though those are getting more rare)

There’s nothing but AI on Twitter on my timelines anymore. Twitter has completely changed and is ruined. Yet, I’m not completely disinterested in viewing the wreckage now and then. It’s like a post apocalyptic movie.

It’s a good thing AI generated stories are a little imperfect. So everyone can see the rate of it, and it is completely taking over. Most of my for you page is slightly weird engagement optimized AI “stories”.

@QuillionWatts @sheilatebra The story is full of holes. How does a crouton touch the rim? It just had croutons on it, someone asked for the salad without. Dramatically embellished and is the account poster the chef? Unlikely
