I can't help but wonder how many reserved-category students are relying on ChatGPT to get through their coursework. Now that they make up about 60% of the student body in almost every class, campus protests and disruptions will become the new normal so that they can openly cheat.
In my view (which was stolen by a journalist), the best solution to address these growing tensions would be to establish separate educational institutions specifically for SC/ST students, staffed by faculty from their own communities.

Real privilege is the system not being able to “touch” you despite being caught cheating in an exam after getting into an institution of excellence. I am pretty sure the HOD and invigilator were scared of SC ST act being used against them if they took any meaningful action to punish the guy.
If any merit student had done a similar action , his career would have ended by now.
