@piratecapt16@AnsweringRCs Love how Prots scream “Scripture alone” then invent doctrines nobody taught for 1800 years while calling those who actually read the Greek “blasphemers.”
@EvidenceOfFaith Bro, the Catholic Church is the reason Hebrews is even in your Bible.
They compiled the canon. You just inherited it (and remove books)
Historical self-own of the century
@Matthew56193629 The one who was in the beginning with God and was God took a human nature from Mary. Therefore she is the mother of God incarnate. Refusing the title while affirming the Incarnation is incoherent.
@Matthew56193629 Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, calls Mary “the mother of my Lord” (Luke 1:43). In the Jewish context “Lord” (Kyrios) is the standard way of referring to God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).
@MJKelleyII Yes He died for your sins, meaning you have a chance for eternal life with Him. Purgatory removes the imperfections caused by your choices done by your own free will. The gall to think you are perfect enough as is to stand in God’s presence…
@YanagitaRon@farmingandJesus Claims every Catholic practice is a man-made hoax forbidden by God… while treating his own favorite interpretations as pure apostolic gospel. Classic “Bible only” energy.
@TeamWilson82@farmingandJesus Calling relic veneration ‘pure idolatry’ is like accusing someone of cheating because they keep a photo of their spouse. The kiss isn’t for the thorn—it’s for the One who wore it. If physical reminders of Christ’s Passion offend you that much, wait till you hear about the Cross
@ChristandGuitar This argument is a non-sequitur. Apostles regularly wrote letters to churches that already had leaders—Paul did it constantly (Timothy, Titus, Corinth). Authority doesn’t make teaching or encouragement by letter unnecessary.
