🔷 How to Apply for SWFS (Seafarers Welfare Fund Society) Benefits
The following step-by-step process applies for Survivor Benefits, Invalidity Benefits, Maternity, Medical Support, Old Age Benefits, Ex-Gratia, and all other schemes listed in the circular.

📝 1. Check Eligibility
Make sure the applicant meets the required criteria:
✔ Indian Seafarer with valid INDoS/CDC
✔ Registered under SWFS
✔ Completed required sea service
✔ Beneficiary (family) must have valid relationship proof
✔ For medical/insurance cases – hospital/government certification needed.

📌 2. Prepare Required Documents
Documents vary depending on the scheme, but common documents include:
CDC copy
Passport copy
INDoS certificate
Seafarer’s Address & ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN)
Sea Service records
Bank passbook / cancelled cheque
Company employment letter / contract letter
Medical reports (for medical schemes)
Death certificate (for Survivor / Death on Board)
Birth certificates (for maternity/child benefit)
