The violent history of Bastar saw a new chapter today when, perhaps the first instance in a decade, police opened fire at unarmed adivasis in Silger, killing 3 and injuring at least 16.
It wasn't a fake encounter, or a gunfire at night.
Bullets flew under the thick sun.
Last night, Vile Parle police station in Mumbai seized 4.75 crores worth of Remdesivir vials that were being secretly moved by a Gujarat company.
Suddenly, @Dev_Fadnavis shows up at the police station late night & says BJP ordered those vials from Daman & Gujarat.

The bare truth of science:
1. Nobody believes a computational model except the person who built it.
2. Everybody believes an experimental measurement except the person who made it.
I'm done with the glorification of workaholism in academia. No, it's not ok that you work double of your contract hours, nights, weekends and annual leave. Can we all just stop pretending this is normal? We are in the middle of a pandemic. There are more important things in life.
What does a mask do? Blocks respiratory droplets coming from your mouth and throat.
Two simple demos:
First, I sneezed, sang, talked & coughed toward an agar culture plate with or without a mask. Bacteria colonies show where droplets landed. A mask blocks virtually all of them.
Not often you see Anderson Cooper shed a tear on air. Leave it to Cornell West to eloquently and emotionally get to the heart of what's happening. This was powerful!
We want to change the way recruitment for scientific jobs is done to save labs and funders money.

Ridiculous to blame the journalists who are reporting the migrant crisis on highways.
That 'is' their job!
They did not create the crisis. They are merely showing that the problem exists, even at the risk of contracting the disease.
