If you're a leftist voter in a swing state, and you can't stand to vote for Kamala:
Sign up to swap your vote. If 200 more people had swapped in 2000, there would be no President Bush.
@thehistoriann I'm refusing to call LLMs "AI", not refusing to talk about the implications for pedagogy. Lots of conversations within my institution over this. But one big hurdle is the quantity of people convinced against the facts that these tools are going to change the way we do research.
@thehistoriann I don't think it's early days. Autocompleting, generative LMs have existed for decades. What changed is we now have 100 companies trying to convince us to call them "intelligent." I, for one, refuse.
@LukeBornheimer@VisionZeroSF@LondonBreed I guess it would be either killed in or by Muni. I don't think there are uncounted deaths, but I think we need to be able to see that 0 (or 2, whatever it is) deaths of transit users compares very favorably with the dozens deaths caused by private vehicles. Charts exclude this!
@Historian_Steve Steve, this question is something like asking what color of car you should drive. It depends! There are factors! (e.g. the scope and dimensionality of your dataset, how comparable the anecdotal prices are, what lessons you want readers to take away, etc.)
