Yemeni Minister of Legal Affairs and #HumanRights Ahmed Arman @aarman79 has claimed that, since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has saved the lives of thousands of #Yemenis by removing a significant number of #landmines from the country’s liberated areas.

Now more than ever, #Yemenis need safety, and for millions of #landmines to be cleared from civilian areas.
But this comes at a time of significant challenges, @aarman79 said, in particular the reduction in funding by the @UN Development Programme #UNDP - which has been partly mitigated by the strong support of Project Masam in the #MineAction field.
“On behalf of the #Yemeni government, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Project Masam’s management and the personnel of the Yemeni National #MineAction Programme”, @aarman79 said in a phone call with our media office.
