It is permissible in English for a preposition to be what you end a sentence with.
The idea that it should be avoided came from writers who were trying to align the language with Latin, but there is no reason to suggest ending a sentence with a preposition is wrong.
Pete
2005-2022
Yesterday Pete had a sausage biscuit; spent a day in the sunshine with his brothers; got lots of love; and ate roast chicken for dinner. He died suddenly less than an hour later in his Daddy’s arms. He was 17.
I think the best tribute is just one word:
PETE!

Where will we get enough water?? Colorado weighs flooding a popular park in order to meet expanding water demand, which has pissed some people off, and raised a lot of very interesting questions: 🧵
@pbcwrites Not me, but my partner can't stand that Gotye song. They were in a tough place in their life when it was getting a lot of radio play, and they just can't stand listening to it.
@BatwoMANDA I never had one growing up, and never understood the appeal.
That was, until I saw one in person. My partner owned one for a long time, and I found myself enraptured by bubbles and plumes of the 'lava'. We had to get rid of it eventually, but it is sorely missed.
@DrunkScribe I wasn't sure, but then worked backwards from off/out of the bookshelf, and I found my answer. On/off the shelf just hits my ear a little better.
5 years ago today was the last time I was able to hike Runyon Canyon with my beautiful #LuckyLucy Just 10 days later, I would have the massive stroke that almost killed me. Every step I’ve fought to take since then is to get strong enough to climb back there #SuckItStroke
