🚨 ‼️ Today marks 4 years of #TigrayGenocide. On November 3, 2020 communication in tigray was blacked out and full scale genocidal war was declared on the people of #Tigray by the Ethiopian regime. With in less than couple weeks the Eritrean troops joined the Ethiopian soldiers and committed wide spread atrocities including massacres, rape women &children , bombing civilians including children kindergarten, blocked humanitarian aid and displaced millions! What you see on this video is just tip of the iceberg! Never forget! This can’t be forgotten!
#Ethiopia and #Eritrea are guilty of Tigray Genocide!
Today the EU, @EUinEthiopia & all its member states failed Ethiopia's victims. Instead of acting to ensure ongoing @UN_HRC scrutiny on the devastating rights situation in #Ethiopia, they opted for silence. New @hrw @TiranaHassan https://t.co/NY6MkJ0gJn
We urge the @USEmbassyAddis to reconsider its ties with @Bank_of_Abyssinia, a financial institution that is perceived to have a partisan ethnic & political agenda, potentially contributing to conflicts that may violate the Pretoria COHA and U.S. foreign policy considerations.
…. the commission said human rights violations in Tigray were “grave and ongoing”, and there had been attacks by the Eritrean Defence Forces (EDF) against civilians.

#Tegadaley#TDF the pride of every Tigrayan but most importantly the trusted safeguards to the women and girls that endured the + pain b/c of their gender. The reaction of this girl says it all. When will @UN_HRC ensure just 4the #SGBV of Tigray? @JosepBorrellF@EUCouncil@hrw
Ethnic cleansing of #Tigrayans in West #Tigray is still happening. It’s unconscionable that, despite clear documentation by @HRW & UN staff, the international community is silent.
I, along with @RepMcGovern & @RepLloydDoggett, are urging immediate sanctions on the perpetrators.
#Ethiopia: Members of Congress call for sanctions on individuals responsible for human rights abuses in #WesternTigray
https://t.co/TW3ePAiipu
Three U.S. Congress members are demanding sanctions on individuals responsible for human rights abuses in Western Tigray, Ethiopia. Brad Sherman, James P. McGovern, and Lloyd Doggett have sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen, calling for visa blocking and financial asset control sanctions against Colonel Demeke Zewdu and Belay Ayalew. Human Rights Watch (HRW) has identified them as central figures in ongoing arbitrary detention, torture, and ethnic cleansing in the region.
Despite progress since the November 2022 cessation of hostilities agreement, the members of Congress stress the crucial need to hold accountable those who violate human rights and promote lasting peace in Ethiopia.
The Congress members refer to a recent Human Rights Watch report that documents new waves of ethnic cleansing targeting Tigrayan civilians. The Ethiopian government rejected the report, labeling it "distorted and misleading" and accusing HRW of pursuing a political agenda under the guise of human rights.
Hunger has killed at least 700 people in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region in recent weeks after the United States and the United Nations paused food aid, local officials and researchers say https://t.co/Hn7ALxMUk2
Accountability and justice are needed for abuses in Western Tigray.
If Ethiopia’s international partners want to see sustainable and credible rights progress, they should stop overlooking victims’ calls. https://t.co/q3lMuoLc6G
New research by Human Rights Watch has exposed how, despite a truce being signed in November, ethnic cleansing continues in #Ethiopia.

#Eritrean forces continue to wage devastation in #Tigray, once again interfering with vital humanitarian efforts - a lifeline to the region.
The U.S. & the int. community cannot lose focus on this issue until Eritrean troops are fully out of #Ethiopia.
