@ShaneSparksBTN@ARobles125 Made a solo trip to Ames in 1988 as a newly licensed driver. Jack Cuvo was the first, but there were some LEGENDS in those finals matches.
Not sure about the TV-side…used to have tons of old IPTV and ABC WWS recordings.
The new 5 for 5 rule could have a major impact on collegiate wrestling tournaments. I’d guess many will move away from the true “open” format to help RPI and D1 win %. We will likely see far fewer high schoolers compete against college guys moving forward.
@NobotThoughts One of my favorite tournaments. 149 was obviously great, but 133 was pretty incredible, too. Seemed like most every weight was wide open.
Join General Charles C. Krulak to help preserve the legacy of veterans who wrestled.

@JonnyRoot_ Wow…. I have always been a big fan of lifting others up or leaving things alone. I can’t imagine doing this to a colleague or anybody for that matter.
Bret Saberhagen turns 62 today. At age 21 he was masterful in Game 7 of the ‘85 World Series. In his two WS starts he pitched 18 innings, walked just one batter & had a 0.50 ERA. His career 1.14 WHIP is 31st among starters in MLB history (min 2,000 innings)
Maria Jose Marin had an incredible answer when asked by @BrentleyGC about the relationship with her dad.
"He's always been my role model. He's been by my side since I started playing golf. He was the one that taught me the love for this game.
"He decided this year that he can't be on the bag. He had the experience with me last year. He said, you need someone that knows. I love you with all my heart, but you need someone that knows how to handle a tournament of this level. I think it was one of the most beautiful decisions that he could have ever made because he was totally selfless. He was like, I know that you need someone else, but I'm going to be there supporting you."
Congrats to @NASA for successfully launching four astronauts into space at 17,500 miles per hour on their journey to the moon.
Coincidentally, this is the same speed y'all seem to go on I-40.
