Depending, the article can also just be a pointer and not rendered in english. "I go to hospital" - etc. Its unlikely that its 'Par Excellence' in this context. Faith's meaning is almost certainly allegiance, alignment, in this context - etc. Can 'alignment' save you without action? Never could, only that which acts is actual. This is not controversial. The controversy is authority - who gets to say which actions are saving or at least signs of saving?
