@CanadianModera1 Do you know how difficult it is to denaturalize citizens in Canada? First of all it’s impossible to revoke citizenship for people born in Canada. There is no legal avenue to revoke citizenship for naturalized citizens either unless there was fraud or misrepresentation.
@jkenney You are downplaying both Alberta’s leverage and the role of the US in this hypothetical. Ontario derives almost all of its oil and gas from Alberta. Alberta could cause an energy crisis in Ontario and Western Canada by shutting down the supply. Also, the US would intervene for AB
@AndrewStoeten At this point, Ontario should dissolve its own government and just be ruled by the federal government. There doesn’t seem to be any daylight between them anyway
@dkennedyglans@ikwilson We’ve already seen the Liberals artificially intervene to increase Quebec’s seat count. Why would anyone think they wouldn’t do this again?
@Dr_Sinister187 “You’d take on a huge chunk of Canada’s debt - Alberta would likely inherit $75–100 billion of federal debt”
The fact that you think this when Alberta net contributed $260 billion to Canada over the last 15 years is exactly why Alberta must leave Canada.
