Due to severe weather, a pipe froze & burst Saturday night in Boston Medical Center’s Emergency Department. All patients in the affected areas of the Emergency Department were safely moved to other areas of the hospital. The Emergency Department will remain closed until Tuesday.

Had a Gyn 24 with consults nonstop, 4 OR cases, and ofc my sick gyn onc floor pts. Only ~ 1 hour midday where it was calmer, otherwise mostly spent it in the ED. Somehow went home smiling and genuinely happy/satisfied. We in the right place yall! ☺️ @nyulangone obgyn #residency

UCSF/ZSFG Emergency Medicine residents have organized a program to allow patients to vote while in the ER, even those on 5150/5250 holds. The program gets the ballot to the pt's bedside, assists them in completing it (if needed) & an on-site secure ballotbox was procured
