@Rj4Truth34585 @fordnation I checked… The US exports more vehicles to Canada, than they import from Canada. The US has a trade surplus in automotive. (Mexico is different). So Trump is making your trade deficit with Canada worse and raising vehicle prices in the US. Smart!

Bicycle infrastructure I rode in Slovenia on the Adriatic coast today. A roundabout for dedicated bike lanes! A separate pedestrian pathway separated from the cycling lanes by the metal barriers. A “zebra crossing” for pedestrians to cross the bike lanes.

@christaggart We went all electric a 16 months ago, for a 1960s home with 2x4 exterior walls, and limits on what we could do for air sealing. No problem at all. The heat pump is great, better than gas for sure. (Went with an heat-pump water heater too) - zero carbon home now.

@MarkFromTO @SjamieIt @ottawacity Mark, you need a refresher on the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. A cyclist is a vehicle under the HTA and is entitled to use the full lane when needed to be safe. In this case if was the correct place to be. If you want to use the public roads, please learn the rules!

@ABetterOttawa I don't disagree. It's also important to educate all road users in traffic safety and to support cyclist's use of public roadways. We need to "take back the streets" for active users, not let the motor vehicle lobby force us off the streets and make us second-class citizens.

@BikeOttawa Separating cyclists/pedestrians from motor vehicles is a kind of admission of defeat. The proper solution is to "take back the streets". - Starting in the 1920s, concerted lobbying by automotive interests succeeded in turning multi-use streets into "motor vehicles only".
