#MondayMotivaton —pls keep up calls to @GovMurphy 609-292-6000. Tell him #StrongerFairerNJ is one where DSPs earn competitive wage & NJ residents w/ IDD have quality, stable supports to live successfully in community-settings - this is reliant upon $20mil of new funding in FY20
Take Action! Please sign our petition for competitive DSP wages, which will generate emails to Governor Murphy and the Senate and Assembly Budget Chairs, Senator Sarlo and Assemblywoman Pintor Marin, in support of $54-million in FY2020 to raise DSP wages: https://t.co/1jSPu0NYF0
On Monday, 5/13 hundreds of @NJDSPCoalition advocates from across #NJ will be in front of State House Annex 10-12:30 for #DSPRally2019 to raise awareness about need for competitive wages for DSPs. Please stop by & see us! @NJSenDems@njassemblydems @senatenj @NJAssemblyGOP

Thank you Assebmlyman@JohnFMcKeon for asking #NJDHS for their data. If NJDHS believes that DSPs can wait until the department collects data & that having DSP #NotMinWageWork wages "even" is a reasonable approach, the crisis will spiral out of control. Then what?
Assemblyman @JohnFMcKeon - thanks for recognizing that DSP workforce crisis will worsen if state puts DSPs at comparable pay with min wage workers. Best way to promote quality services/supports for #NJ residents with I/DD is to invest in workers who provide the supports @NJDHS
Thank you Assemblyman @DanBensonNJ for supporting DSPs! #NJDHS needs to look at the bigger picture. Efficiencies cannot be at the cost of the I/DD system in which DSPs are the heart #NotMinWageWork
Commissioner Carole Johnson & Assistant Commissioner Jonathan Seifried had a great morning addressing @NJDDAN's annual summit, where they discussed the many @NJDHS programs and services important to individuals with developmental disabilities.
ABCD supports the closure of institutions for people with I/DD. And, they need necessary supports provided by highly qualified and skilled DSPs #NotMinWageWork
