We’re launching the Army of Robots.
In 2022, we launched the Army of Drones. Today, drones account for over 95% of battlefield strikes, and Ukraine has more than 700 UAV manufacturers.
Now we need the next technological breakthrough: the robotization of warfare.
The goal is simple — save lives. Robots should take on the most dangerous missions: evacuating the wounded, delivering ammunition, mining and demining, reconnaissance, defending positions and engaging targets.
The Army of Robots is not one company. It’s an ecosystem. We will invest in defense tech companies, launch our own technology projects, test them with the military and scale what works on the battlefield.
We’re now looking for defense tech companies and engineers working on robotic technologies — as well as a CTO / Tech Lead for the Army of Robots.

Glad to welcome Minister Abdalle Mohamed Arab to Taiwan. Taiwan and Somaliland are deepening practical cooperation—from ICT talent development and maritime security to disaster resilience—turning friendship into shared resilience and mutual benefit.
It was a pleasure to meet with the President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi @AbdirahmanIrro during High-Level Week at the UN General Assembly.
We discussed strengthening relations and expanding cooperation between our two countries.
1. Somaliland is a tiny ‘country’ recognised at the moment only by Israel. Its President is in the US & is likely to address a rally near the UNGA venue, making a pitch to the world for recognition. Somaliland also has a deal with UAE on the strategically important Berbera Port. #CutTheClutter explains Somaliland’s geography, roots & why it’s key to the Red Sea power struggle.
2. Somaliland sits on the Horn of Africa, along nearly 850km of coastline facing the Gulf of Aden. It has an elected president, parliament, currency, passports, security forces, taxation, & regular elections. Its population is roughly 6 million. Somaliland is significantly more peaceful than Somalia, from which it separated in 1960. It has played a role in combating piracy rather than enabling it. Yet international recognition remains elusive.
3. Somaliland’s greatest asset is geography. Specifically, the deep-water port of Berbera. Ships moving between the Indian Ocean & the Red Sea pass nearby before entering Bab el-Mandeb & continuing toward the Suez Canal. This is no tiny port. The Soviets once used it, as did the US. More recently, UAE’s DP World invested heavily in expanding Berbera.
4. One purpose the port can serve is to provide sea access to Ethiopia. A large landlocked large country, Ethiopia depends on access through Djibouti. Leveraging its port, Djibouti, which is a much smaller country with a small population, today has a per capita income 4 times Ethiopia & Somaliland’s. This is exactly what Somaliland wants to achieve through Berbera.
5. What is the Somaliland-Somalia story? It goes back to the 20th century history of colonial Africa. The British occupied the region that became British Somaliland. The Italians grabbed the territory to the south, which became Italian Somalia. As decolonisation brought independence, both merged in the spirit of post-colonial unity. That, however, didn’t last & Somaliland decided to return to its pre-1960 status.
6. The complication is most of the Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, don’t want Somalia to break up. It doesn’t want another country to come up there which is friendly with Israel or UAE. For Israel, a friendly presence near the southern approaches to the Red Sea has strategic significance. And, for the UAE, economic influence through Berbera likely matters more than formal recognition.

🚨 BREAKING: Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, met Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The two leaders discussed strengthening Israel–Somaliland relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, Ambassador Danon delivered a powerful message on Somaliland’s international future:
“I believe the day will soon come when Somaliland will also vote at the United Nations.”
The statement represents another significant diplomatic signal of support for Somaliland’s pursuit of international recognition.
This proposal is insulting and must be rejected outright. In geopolitics, promises are worthless once leverage is surrendered.. just ask the Kurds how quickly Washington abandoned them when its interests changed.
The United States will not take Berbera while denying Somaliland recognition. We are a sovereign nation, not a disposable “local authority” to be exploited for strategic access.
President Trump must choose: recognition and an equal partnership or no access and no deal. Any attempt to take Somaliland’s greatest leverage for nothing will push our nation away from Washington. The people will never accept it.

I had a productive meeting with Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi yesterday.
Somaliland has already established itself as a reliable partner for the United States on a range of issues, from countering terrorism to protecting shipping around the Horn of Africa. We discussed further strengthening the U.S.-Somaliland partnership.
I have been pushing the United States to deepen our partnership. I am committed to securing American recognition of Somaliland’s sovereignty and, in the meantime, I’m urging the State Department to stop treating Somaliland as the same as Somalia. The U.S. should establish a region-specific Travel Advisory specifically for Somaliland, which would reflect the reality on the ground.
I look forward to continuing our work to advance our shared security interests.
We are pleased to announce the official X Account of the Embassy of the Republic of Somaliland in the State of Israel, where news, developments, and updates on Somaliland–Israel relations and the Embassy’s activities will be shared; we invite Somalilanders and friends of Somaliland around the world to follow the page for official updates.
