On behalf of the Obidient Movement, I extend my profound gratitude to His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, all distinguished guests, support groups, coordinators, stakeholders, volunteers, and every member of our global Obidient family who made today's summit a reality.
To everyone who spoke, those who listened, those who contributed behind the scenes, and those who simply showed up in solidarity, your presence mattered, your contributions count, and your commitment is deeply appreciated. To every Obidient across Nigeria and the diaspora who participated in one way or another, thank you for keeping the vision alive.
Today's summit is a turning point. Its success will not be measured merely by attendance or speeches, but by our ability to translate our discussions into action, our resolutions into results, and our collective aspirations into a disciplined, united, and purposeful movement.
As we move forward, let us remain focused on the objectives of the summit, the unity of our movement, the strength of our structures, and our shared responsibility to build a better Nigeria. Our differences must never overshadow our common purpose, and no personal interest must ever become greater than the mission we serve.
I reaffirm my commitment to inclusive leadership, constructive engagement, accountability, and the collective advancement of our movement.
The summit has ended, but the work has only just begun. Let us leave with renewed determination, stronger bonds, clearer direction, and an unshakable commitment to the Nigeria we believe in.
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for believing. Thank you for standing together.
Together, we remain stronger. Together, we move forward. Together, we must never lose sight of the Nigeria we seek to build.
Dr Moses Paul,
National Coordinator, Obidient Movement

One thing has become increasingly clear, Mr. Peter Obi is no longer merely a politician seeking office. He has become a symbol of hope for millions of Nigerians who desire a different kind of leadership.
Whether in Lagos, Abuja, or other parts of the country, the crowds, the energy, and the genuine affection shown to him cannot be manufactured. They are not the product of state resources, political patronage, or ethnic mobilization. Rather, they are the result of years of consistency, simplicity, discipline, and a message that resonates deeply with ordinary Nigerians.
What continues to inspire many about Mr. Peter Obi is that he speaks less about power and more about purpose. He speaks about production rather than consumption, about investing in people rather than politics, and about building a nation where competence matters more than connections.
In every engagement, whether with business leaders, young professionals, market men and women, students, or community stakeholders, the same pattern emerges: people listen because they believe he understands their pain and shares their aspirations. His recent engagements in Lagos have once again reinforced his commitment to credible elections, national development, and a more productive Nigeria.
What many see in Mr. Peter Obi is not perfection. Rather, they see a leader who has consistently demonstrated prudence, accountability, and empathy in public service. They see a man whose personal lifestyle reflects many of the values he advocates publicly.
The excitement surrounding him is therefore not just about one man. It is about what he represents: the possibility that Nigeria can work, that leadership can be responsible, and that public office can once again become a platform for service rather than personal enrichment.
History often reminds us that great movements are built around ideas, not individuals. Mr. @PeterObi's greatest strength may not be Peter Obi himself, but the awakening of civic consciousness he has inspired among millions of Nigerians who now believe they have a stake in the future of their country.
Consistently unfolding events serve as yet another reminder that while political structures remain important, the most powerful force in any democracy is still the people.
As we celebrate Father's Day today, it is also fitting to acknowledge the fatherly role that true leadership plays in society, offering guidance, responsibility, sacrifice, and hope for future generations. Nigeria's yearning for better leadership is, at its core, a desire for a nation that cares for its people and secures a brighter future for its children.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers and father figures whose sacrifices, wisdom, and dedication continue to shape families, communities, and nations.

Chief Dave Umahi has consistently and persistently seized every opportunity to criticize, twist, distort and malign Mr Peter Obi, not forgetting that he played the principal role of opposing Mr Peter Obi during his time in the PDP. Dave Umahi's pattern of attacks on PO has a historical track record. This antagonism continued with the Lagos-Calabar coastal road issue, where Umahi falsely accused PO of inciting the Igbo against the government. Recently, Dave Umahi escalated his baseless accusations, alleging that @PeterObi is inciting the Igbo against the Yoruba.
In his latest attack, Dave Umahi lambasted PO, saying, 'You are not Ndigbo's mouthpiece, stop inciting our youths.' However, a closer examination of Mr Peter Obi's statements reveal the exact contrast to Umahi's misrepresentations. Mr Peter Obi's comments on the planned nationwide protests were measured and responsible, emphasizing the importance of peaceful and lawful demonstrations. He stressed that protests are a fundamental aspect of democratic principles and urged the police to protect all parties exercising their right to protest.
It is clear that Dave Umahi is misrepresenting Mr @PeterObi's words and blackmailng him at any given chance and occasion intentionally to further his own agenda, rather than focusing on his pay masters job and the many responsibilities before him including addressing the many deplorable roads across the country that have been rendered impassable, he chooses to provoke unnecessary conflict and personalize issues.
Dave Umahi's rhetoric and behavior reveal a troubling disconnect from reality, accompanied by a zealous quest to undermine @PeterObi's character. Meanwhile, Peter Obi's reputation has achieved a level of global recognition that surpasses Nigeria's boundaries. Through personal experience traveling with him around the world, I can confirm the significant impression he has made internationally.
Mr @PeterObi's approach to politics has always been centered on addressing pressing issues like education, healthcare, and poverty reduction. Not once has he resorted to personal attacks or mentions of individuals, including Dave Umahi. Mr Peter Obi remains steadfast, committed and focusing on promoting peaceful and lawful expressions of dissent, ensuring that every Nigerian's voice is heard and respected, regardless of their class, tribe, religion, region and political affiliations.

About a month ago, I accompanied Mr. Peter Obi on a six-state thank-you tour in the US. At the BWI airport, while traveling from Dallas, Texas, to Washington, DC, we met Opeoluwa Solalu, a DHS employee. Opeoluwa approached me and asked if he could take a picture with His Excellency, Mr. @PeterObi. After the photo, he gently told Mr. Obi, "I'm coming home to get married and would be honored to have you come."
Given Mr. PeterObi’s busy schedule, I was unsure if he could attend the wedding. When I reminded him about the upcoming event, he mentioned our commitments: the campaign flag-off in Edo and two other high-profile events. Yet, Mr. @PeterObi is known for honoring invitations, particularly from ordinary people. He said, "Let's get on with Edo, and if we finish, we'll leave immediately for Lagos because of Ope."
Upon arriving in Lagos, we searched for the venue for over an hour. PO was determined, and we finally found it. The joy and happiness in the atmosphere were palpable, from the security to the newlyweds, their parents, and friends. Mr. Obi went further by instructing me to give a substantial gift to the couple and some of the attendees.
PO shared with me how he had attended numerous events like this as a governor, sometimes sitting quietly at the back to encourage people without drawing attention. He emphasized that he prioritizes invitations from everyday Nigerians. "They are the ones who need my advice, encouragement, and support," he said.
When we met Opeoluwa, his excitement was evident. He gratefully said, "Thank you, Sir, for who you are and for the sacrifices you are making for Nigeria." He then turned to me and thanked me for allowing him to interact with and take a picture with Mr. Peter Obi. For Opeoluwa, it was a dream and inspiration come true.
This is the humanity and dedication of Mr. Peter Obi, a leader who truly values and uplifts the everyday citizens of Nigeria.

I recently watched an interview filled with lies and baseless allegations against Mr. Peter Obi by one Arabambi, which certainly deserves a right of reply on the same Reuben Abati Sunday show.
One year after the elections, we must ask ourselves: how do such fabrications impact government policies, our lives, and the welfare of the people? Spreading falsehoods about a man of proven integrity and exceptional records, like Mr. Peter Obi, serves no purpose other than to mislead the public.
Mr. Peter Obi is a man of character, capacity, competence, consistency, and compassion, especially for the North and the Muslim community. For instance, he visited the Chief Imam of Abeokuta on his 90th birthday, an event that Mr. Arabambi ignored. If Mr. Obi had visited Pastor Adeboye, it would have made headlines, showcasing a clear bias in reporting.
During Ramadan, Mr. Peter Obi visited about ten Northern states, providing financial aid to around 100 individuals each, sharing meals with Muslim faithful, and funding boreholes to provide water to Muslim communities. Yet, Arabambi falsely labels Mr. Obi as a hater of other religions and tribes.
Mr. Obi, accompanied by Tanko Yunusa, also visited places where Islamic scholars are trained and met with Sheikh Muhammed Habibullah Adam Abdullah EL-ILORY (OON) to discuss transforming the educational landscape for studying Islam and Arabic. Where was Arabambi during these visits?
Mr. Peter Obi's generosity has left an indelible mark, such as donating 10 million Naira to the Madarasatul Hidayyatul Auladi Muslimima school in Kawo, Kaduna, and another 10 million to FOMWAN Hospital in Badarawa, Kaduna. His leadership and compassion inspire unity and positive change in society.
He was there for Ex-Super Eagles star Tijiani Babangida, who was involved in a fatal road accident last month in Kaduna, which tragically resulted in the loss of his son and his younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida, a former Under 17 World Champion.
He was also present for those affected by the horrific and devastating terror attack on May 16, 2024, in the Gezawa local government area of Kano State during the morning prayer session at Murtala Mohammed Hospital in Kano.
He has been traveling across the country, providing support to kidnapped victims, those in IDP camps, the wounded, and the heartbroken, offering succor in his own small ways.
Talking about youth, the youngest presidential candidate in the last election was from the ADC, yet Nigerians are seeking a leader who is not just young but energetic, mentally and physically robust, and with a proven track record. Mr. Peter Obi meets these criteria, demonstrating exceptional leadership and health.
Regarding his mention in the Panama Papers, Mr. @PeterObi has transparently explained his actions, which were legal and for his family's benefit. His tenure as governor was marked by impeccable records and inclusivity, such as having an indigene of Kano State as ADC for eight years. I challenge Arabambi to show any governor in the South West or Northern Nigeria with an Igbo man as ADC.
Why is Peter Obi still an issue one year after the elections? Reuben Abati’s next Sunday show should provide a platform for a right of reply, as Arabambi’s baseless accusations only serve to highlight his own deceit and desperation. His attempts to discredit Mr. Peter Obi and the party are transparent and pathetic. Arabambi’s words are empty, and his tactics are cowardly. He is a paid propagandist of a tyrannical regime, and his deceit will not stand. The truth will prevail, and his treachery will be forgotten.
