The BJP’s governance is obsessed with renaming. They now want to rename the Taj Mahal as “Tejo Mahalaya”.

The Sangh Parivar wants the people of India to rewrite their collective memory and believe that the Taj Mahal was not built by Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for Mumtaz Mahal, but was originally Tejo Mahalaya that was later altered by the Mughals.

Those who have little to show by way of governance, and whose contribution to India’s freedom struggle and nation-building remains deeply contested, continue to seek political legitimacy by renaming streets, cities and even world heritage sites instead of addressing the challenges of the present.

India has fallen to 7th place in global market capitalisation rankings.

This decline comes amid sustained foreign investor outflows, weak earnings growth, and India’s limited participation in the AI-driven investment boom under the BJP Government.

👉Foreign investors have pulled out $26.4 billion from Indian equities so far in 2026, already exceeding the previous annual record of $18.9 billion.

👉India’s share in the MSCI Global Standard Index has fallen from 21% in September 2024 to just 12.3%.

👉India has dropped two places in global market-cap rankings within weeks, falling behind both Taiwan and South Korea.

👉South Korea’s market capitalisation has risen to $5.01 trillion, overtaking India’s $4.85 trillion.

While other Asian economies are attracting global capital through technology, innovation and AI-led growth, India is witnessing capital flight, weakening investor confidence and losing ground to its competitors.

The BJP Government’s economic policies have left India lagging behind its peers at a time when the global economy is being reshaped by technology, innovation and artificial intelligence.
