@yamzislife The only thing that I hate about this still is how people use this as a crux to argue that JB is better than JT and that JT got carried to the finals. You don’t actually think JB is better, you just use this as a talking point to argue that JT is overrated.
@lissmx14@KirPop_99 To be completely fair though, that Game 1 was an ugly 4th quarter by Tatum’s standards. Brown saved the team with that tying corner 3, and Tatum brought them home in OT.
@MarzTalksSports I’ve watched so many basketball games as a fan of the Boston Celtics. No one is denying that JB is currently a better player than Paul George, but it’s not crazy to say that PG might be a better fit for Boston, both on offense and defense, than Jaylen Brown would be.
@CelticsForum0 To be fair though, Jaylen Brown is much younger and more springier than Paul George is right now. I’ve never thought that JB was better than JT, but you can’t expect Brown to say this when he was playing his best basketball whilst Tatum was recovering from an injury.
I’m a retired brain surgeon and I wanna tell you why you feel like life is passing by. I just need one minute to explain this to you so hang in there.
Repetitive daily routines stop the brain from recording clear detailed memories. When every day looks the same, your brain does not track time the same as a clock does. It tracks change. If nothing new happens then days, months, and years start to blur together.
This is know as Time compression. When life lacks variety, your brain compresses past days together, making it feel like time is sped up.
To stop feeling like life is passing you by, add new experiences to your life. Break routine habits, like changing your daily home routine, taking a different route to work, or trying a new hobby.
Schedule small trips or plan new adventures so your days do not blend together.
Practice mindfulness by staying fully focused on what you are doing right now and not trying to race off to the next task.
Keep a journal and write down happy memories or memorable parts of the day before you go to sleep.
Take deep, calm breaths when you feel anxious or rushed to return your focus to the moment.
You can and you will retrain your brain to not feel like life is passing you by by following these few simple measures.
@John_Karalis This is a sad day that’s piled onto what was supposed to be a great day for journalism with the Pablo Torre kill shot piece on the Clippers 🤦🏾♂️ what a fkn goofy Enes Kanter is.
Accountability for the wealthiest people on Earth is hard to come by.
Thank you for believing in the power of independent journalism to accomplish it.
(And, yes, more to come.)

@taylorcrumpton@TIME Titi did say on her podcast that a large portion of the racist hate that she received (including racist monkey photoshopped images, KC emasculated and photoshopped as a child) did come from black women. I just wish the article was able to highlight that issue as well.
@taylorcrumpton@TIME I read the piece—it’s great work first and foremost. However, I do wish that perhaps you would’ve gotten a bit more in-depth regarding the level of prejudice and anti-blackness that some of these women received from other black people as well, and in particular black women.
