"So he tried to kill an ICE agent."
Went to Bank of America, bank closest to me to exchange a ripped $100 bill. Remembered my grandma telling me in 1998 this is what you do if that happens. The teller is an asian who barely speaks English. Looks at the bill shuttering—“No we can no help you!” Mkay.
Still looking at me like I’m an alien.
I said “well that’s the way it’s done. Is there another way? Banks take ripped money as long as serial number is good is what Ive always known?”
“No no we don’t do dis!”
I’m about to walk out and a white teller summons me over to her counter and exchanges the bill. “Have a nice day!” She says
It’s lack of basic common cultural Norms like this that piss me off
