How to apply these insights into avoiding biases? Two strategies.
1 - Ensure you have sufficient reserves of energy
2 - Reduce the amount of energy that needs to be spent while questioning

We have an evolutionary tendency to conserve energy. Hence listening to the fast responses from the working model feels effortless. Questioning it and applying cognition feels effortful (tiring, feels unpleasant many times)…..
