Over the last two weeks, Madrid's historic Puerta Del Sol public square has once again become the epicentre of Spain’s national discourse around housing.
Protesters are targeting the companies they say are responsible for the hike in rent prices, which they refer to as ‘vulture funds’ (‘El fondos buitres’).
The firms, including Blackstone, Cerberus and Brookfield, operate mostly in the US, but Israeli companies Nadlan B’Jeans, Argis and Genesis Investments have also invested extensively into Madrid’s property sector.

On our second day in Bale Zone, in addition to inaugurating the Welmel River Irrigation Development Project and visiting nearby beneficiary farms, we returned to Bale Mountains National Park to review new tourism development projects in the Harenna cluster. These projects, currently under construction, include the Rira Eco Lodge and its surrounding facilities within Harenna Forest as well as viewpoints, restaurants, and coffee shops along the hiking and driving trails leading to the summit of Tulu Dimtu. These developments are significant as they aim to promote sustainable tourism, create local employment opportunities, and enhance visitors’ comfort and experience of the park’s unique natural and cultural heritage.
A lot of people have posted this clip of Brian Kilmeade calling for the extermination of homeless people. I've added some context about the crime they were talking about before they went on a tear about homeless people and the ties to Nazi ideology in Kilmeade's statement.

My thoughts exactly. Good riddance Genocide Joe. Go find yourself a nursing home suitably equipped for your considerable needs, and invest early in a dishonourable grave.

The former Director of the Somali National Intelligence & Security Agency also the former National Security Director Fahad Yasin, sent the most pressing advice to the President of Somalia against the naked aggression & blatant violations of the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
“Mr President, A Slap is Not a Fight Back Option.
His Excellency,
From the knowledge I have of you, I can fully say that your feelings are genuine and in the various powerful speeches you have given, I am sure that your sentiments are true and rightly placed. I am a witness to that effect, I remember during your first term, you were coerced into making huge compromises on matters affecting the land and sea of Somalia with grand promises of rewards, I am still confident you will not sign them off today.
Mr. President,
The other qualities of yours, I have known you for is that you are too slow, your decisions are soft, the weight of your speeches and the reluctance of your actions are contradictory. Somalis say, a slap only gets you into a fight but does not win you one. Mr President, the words you spoke, there are no bigger words remaining for your utterance, you declared war in your sermons and even called for armed resistance but unfortunately, you are not ready for it.
The only thing left for Ethiopia is to lands its force at the shores of the Red Sea and bring troops and forces, and as far as I know, the plan is ready, they are moving, and the enemy is preparing to counter it.
Mr. President
I am going to suggest these preventive measures for you, if you would heed:
First: Cut off all diplomatic relations with Ethiopia completely and let any relations remain like that until Ethiopia publically withdraws from the agreement you invalidated and entered into with the illegitimate administration.
Two: The Ethiopian Army, both those in the country under the African Union led mission (ATMIS) and non-ATMIS units, should leave the country within a delineated period of time. If they refuse to leave the country in the given time, then they should be recognized as an occupying force who are legitimate targets. In this period, Somalia should seek options to the security vacuum left in their withdrawal and there are countries that are willing, ready and would ably fill that position.
Three: The government should conduct a diplomatic campaign in African countries for a campaign to move the headquarters of the African Union from Addis Ababa, after violating the rules of the continental organization and its founding charter.
Four: To close the airspace of Somalia for the flights of airlines owned, operated from or registered in Ethiopia.
Five: Somalia should enter into military defense cooperation with brotherly countries like Turkey, Eritrea and Egypt and provide them a military base in the country, so that they can be part of the security of the region and the security of the seas.
Mr. President
You should put your trust in God and your people, and you should know that your powers are sufficicent enough to defend the country. You can easily avoid the expansive greed of Ethiopia, if you rely on yourself.
Don't ever think that support and strength coming from outside will stop Abiy Ahmed's crazy ambition. The world, as always, will say they are calling for a calmer situation, even when the Ethiopian army comes to the Red Sea and conquers it, they will repeat this line. Mr. President, don't wait for the mercy of the world, don't rely on it! You can fill your hands and use the heavy cards in your hand to be on the offensive and defensive.
Mr. President.
When the sovereignty of the country is violated, there are no pro-government and opposition factions, therefore, we are ready to support you and show the enemies of our country that our people are united. But it is necessary to see your leadership, which has the ability to gather the different diverse strengths that are embedded in the Somali people.”
