When it comes to bombing Yemeni oil depots, Libyan oil fields, or Russian gas pipelines like Nordstream - the bombing of which was said to be the planet's single largest-ever CO2 emission event - there are no environmental concerns.

Environmental concerns are for when Nigeria is building a new oil refinery, or Uganda is building a new oil pipeline, or South Africa wants to build a coal-fired power station to give black people access to electricity.

Poor people should protect the environment at the cost of remaining poor forever. Rich people should bomb it with reckless abandon because they can.
