Fellow Nigerians, good morning.

I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.

Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.

We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.

More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.

We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.

Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.

Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.

However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.

Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.

And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.

There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?

Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.

Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.

Pewbeam is live 🎉

This was just a dream, a dream I didn’t even know was possible—but I decided to pursue it anyway. Today, that dream is now a reality. We have a desktop app (Windows and macOS—this weekend) that can do all of this and even more. Over the last six months, I’ve pushed myself and my team hard, and I’ve seen people become hopeful and genuinely blessed by this product. I’ve received strong support from pastors, church members, techies, and several media houses and reporters. It has been a great honor to spend myself on something worthwhile.

We’ve built an AI-native presentation app that displays relevant scriptures on screen in under 80 ms, without needing a volunteer. We’re starting with scriptures, but we’re growing into a comprehensive presentation software, with slides launching next month.

From testing @pewbeam_ai in churches over the last four weeks, pastors have been able to focus on what matters instead of juggling or micromanaging the media team while preaching. Church members have been able to follow their pastor’s references in real time and take better notes. In the words of a member from one of the test churches: “Pewbeam changed the way I follow sermons in church completely.” This is the kind of impact I see Pewbeam having on people’s faith and on how church and worship are done.

Pewbeam’s mission is to ensure the Church is not left behind in the AI era. We’re starting with this application, with many more to come in the next few months. We’ll keep working with stakeholders in the Christian faith, collect feedback, and build tools that better support discipleship. And unlike previous waves of technology, I believe we can be among the first movers in this AI revolution.

With all that said, the final build of the app is ready, and we’re launching for public download on February 25, 2026. The app has a generous free tier for small churches and fellowships, and a paid plan (location-based pricing) that unlocks unlimited access to all features.

New year is here and everywhere you turn, people are trying to cover the Bible in one year. Bible-in-a-year plans. Daily streaks. Big spiritual goals. Sounds good, but it may not be the most effective way to actually grow. In this tweet, I’ll share 3 better ways to study the Bible this year.

If your goal is to “cover” the Bible this year, you may eventually end up reading it like a novel.

If your goal is to keep a streak, you might keep it… and remain unchanged by it. Mind you, this is coming from someone with a 4-year streak on YouVersion, so this is not to invalidate the effect of streak keeping.

However, the Bible was not given to help you maintain consistency stats. It was given to reveal God and transform you.

Knowing God is more important than finishing the Bible. Knowing God is more important than a 365-day streak.

Read that again.

So if you really want to grow this year, try depth over speed. Here are three ways that I always recommend

1. Study topically.
Pick a subject like Mercy, Grace, Trust, Love, Diligence, or Excellence. Even things like poverty, fear, depression, purpose. Look for related Bible plans on the YouVersion app. Sit with it. Pray through it.

2. Study a Bible character.
Identify a Bible Character God keeps bringing to your heart in this season. Study them. Don’t just read chapters about them, listen to sermons, Podcasts, Teachings. If possible, watch faith-based movies around their story. Immerse yourself until you understand how God dealt with them and why.

3. Study a Bible book.
Choose one book for a month. Lock in. Read it slowly. Check commentaries, ask questions and observe patterns. Squeeze everything you can out of it.

Do any of these properly, and by December, you will not just be consistent. You will be different.

This year, don’t aim to finish the Bible. Aim to let the Bible finish its work in you.

🇳🇬 Nigerians, please continue to join the call and demand government intervention in the case of the wife and daughter of the late Anglican priest, Venerable Edwin Achi, who have been in captivity for 64 days in Kaduna State.

They were kidnapped from their residence in Nissi Community, Chikun Local Government Area, on October 28, 2025.

Proof-of-life images were initially released, but no new verified update has emerged regarding their safety or condition.

Reports confirm that Achi was murdered in captivity after weeks in the kidnappers’ hands. There is still no confirmed information on the welfare of his wife, Sarah Achi, and their daughter.

CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE UPDATE: REV. ACHI’S FAMILY STILL IN CAPTIVITY

On October 28, 2025 Venerable Edwin ACHI, an Anglican priest was abducted from his home in Kaduna, along with his wife and daughter. After days in captivity, the terrorists threatened to murder him, and they did, in late November.

Till this day, his terribly traumatized widow and daughter are still in captivity. Don’t even talk about the horror and abuse they must have endured.

QUESTION TO @officialABAT and @HQNigerianArmy, why are these people still in captivity as Nigerians “Detty-December” in Lagos and beyond?
