The average man today lacks purpose.
Modern life breeds men who fall victim to cheap dopamine, cheap food and superficial pleasures.
Here are 7 ways to reject average and regain control of your life:
gpt2-chatbot is back.
Capabilities seem to exceed GPT-4, Gemini 1.5, Claude, and anything else currently available.
The only way to access it is by testing a prompt in battle mode on the Chatbot Arena and getting a lucky draw.
A quick tutorial:
1. Go to chat. lmsys. org
2. Make sure you are in Arena (battle) mode
3. Enter a prompt (shorter is better so you can do them quicker)
4. Rate the response, and the Chatbot Arena will show you what model you were using at the bottom of the chatbox
5. If you don't get 'im-a-good-gpt2-chatbot' or 'im-also-a-good-gpt2-chatbot', refresh and try again until you do
Here's a quick video of me getting really lucky and getting them BOTH side-by-side. It took me 5 attempts :^)
A thread on how I made $10k in one weekend as a college student with no money.
It was about 8 weeks before graduation weekend in Ithaca NY in 2012. I was a senior about to graduate. My mother was bugging me to help her find a hotel near campus for graduation weekend.
In 2009, Stanford business professor Tina Seelig split her class into groups and issued a challenge:
Each group had $5 and 2 hours to make the highest return on the money.
At the end, they'd give a short presentation on their strategy.
What happened next was fascinating:
"Let's do startups" - Germany edition
But first... some paperwork:
1. Put aside €25,000 for company formation
2. Find a notary to draft articles of incorporation (1-2 weeks)
3. Open bank account (4-6 weeks)
4. Deposit share capital and send to notary
5. Entry into commercial registry
6. Ignore official looking scam letters asking for money
7. Entry into transparency register
8. Register with local trade office
9. Register with tax office
10. Wait for your company's VAT ID
11. You need an official address (don't use your home, can't use PO box), so rent virtual office
12. Buy company insurance
13. Buy accounting software
14. Set up payroll (you have to employ yourself as manager)
15. Pay for on-going accounting costs (€2-3k a year)
16. Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly taxes
17. Make sure you have a GDPR-compliant privacy policy, and DPAs with all service providers
18. Make sure you have a compliant legal notice on your website and emails, or risk getting a €50,000 fine
19. Make sure your invoices are actually compliant with regulations
20. Don't ever move out of Germany while owning the company, or else go bankrupt due to the exit-tax with no liquidity problem
Now you may invoice your first customer - if you dare ;)
(obviously not legal/tax advice, this is satire)
Finally, someone cracked it. The ChatGPT system prompt.
If you were wondering why GPT became so bad in the past 6 months, its because "laziness" is part of the system prompt:
1. "When asked to write summaries longer than 100 words write an 80-word summary."
2. "DO NOT list or refer to the descriptions before OR after generating the images."
3. "Do not create more than 1 image, even if the user requests more."
⚡️Vercel v0 is now open to everyone. And It's incredible!
