Regardless of what RR intended, no PH leader/supporter should be calling BERSAMA a 'spoiler' or blaming BERSAMA for the beating PH got yesterday - it's simply not supported by the final results.

Definition of 'spoiler':
1) PH lost the seat to BN
2) Votes won by BERSAMA > the margin of victory for BN

BERSAMA contested 15 seats. There are only 2 seats which meet this criteria:
- N.46 Perling
- N.51 Bukit Batu

In the 9 other seats which PH lost (which BERSAMA contested), PH's loss can't be 'blamed' on BERSAMA (not that I even agree with this idea of 'blame' in a democratic election anyway).

If I'm not mistaken, they've been sharing it in several closed groups.

Eight years ago today, Malaysians queued up at schools just like these.

Most of us didn’t actually think it would happen. We hoped. We showed up.

But deep down, many of us weren’t sure a single vote could change 61 years of the same government.

And then it did.

We did it.

Six years on, it’s hard to know how to feel about all of it.

A government that fell in 22 months.

Three prime ministers without a single election.

Another vote that gave us a unity government that, honestly, still doesn’t feel like what people queued up for back in 2018.

Reforms that were promised are either half-done or quietly forgotten. The feeling of “different faces, but a lot of the same feelings”.

I’ve had this conversation so many times now, with friends, with family, and I keep hearing the same thing.

“I’ve given up. The government disappoints me. The opposition isn’t any better.”

I don’t think that’s apathy. I think that’s what exhaustion sounds like after years of hoping.

But here’s the thing about political cycles.

They end.

And when they do, people who said they’ve given up somehow find themselves back at the polling station.

Pen in hand, doing the one thing that actually changed something once before.

We’re getting close to that moment again.

And if 2018 taught us anything, it’s that we’re more capable of surprising ourselves than we think.

Bagi aku, sejak Langkah Sheraton, Zahid Hamidi pencatur strategi terbaik. Tidak kira zaman PNBN atau BNPN hatta MADANI, dia tetap steady malah diangkat menjadi TPM kini.

Sekarang, dia giat memperkemaskan parti yang diketuainya. Semua isu2 negara, semua ke arah PMX. Lagi haru, PKR pula salah pencaturan dalam pemilihan dan sedang bergelut dengan masalah dalaman yang semakin kronik.

Zahid membuka keahlian manakala pimpinan PKR dengan sombong menghalau ahli2 lama.

Summary

1. Kenyataan balas Rafizi berhubung serangan Ramanan terhadap beliau di Konvensyen PKR Johor.

2. Rafizi berpandangan, lagi Ramanan bercakap, lagi makan diri sendiri.

3. Beliau mengkritik tindakan Ramanan “menasihati” PM secara terbuka sebagai tidak beradab. Seolah-olah PMX tidak tahu memilih Menteri.

4. Pendedahan: Rafizi sebelum ini menolak pencalonan Ramanan dalam PRU15 (isu kelayakan & gagal mengisytiharkan harta).

6. Namun selepas kemenangan, Ramanan tetap dilantik sebagai Timbalan Menteri. Rafizi melihat ini sebagai bukti Anwar tidak menepati janji serta wujudnya hubungan istimewa antara Anwar dan Ramanan.

Mahmud Epah - yang dapat 721 undi sahaja dalam pilihanraya negeri Sarawak yang lepas

Saya akan jawab tuduhan-tuduhan “menteri gagal” ini dalam Podcast YBM #42 hari Jumaat ini.

Saya tidaklah terkejut dengan serangan-serangan ini kerana ia cubaan untuk mengalih perhatian.

Tapi saya juga sedar saya pun ada banyak perkara yang gagal.

Saya gagal berdiam diri bila saya rasa ada rasuah, lagi tinggi pangkat, lagi kuat saya bersuara.

Sebahagian kegagalan saya itu ada kesan kepada masyarakat.

Minggu ini, Dato’ Seri Najib diarahkan membayar lebih RM5 bilion kepada kerajaan akibat penyelewengan yang berlaku dalam 1MDB.

Masa saya mula-mula dedah mengenai SRC dan 1MDB, ramai pencacai yang memaki fitnah, gagal, sotong dan macam-macam. Minggu ini, mahkamah membuktikan kegagalan saya itu ada kebenaran.

Minggu ini juga, kenyataan saya yang menamakan Naib Presiden PKR, R Ramanan sebagai ahli parlimen yang menerima RM9.5 juta dari Victor Chin dalam kes mafia korporat masih tidak dicabar.

Saya juga gagal dalam membodek. Kalau harga tidak membodek itu bermakna saya diserang, dimaki atau dicerca, saya gagal takut dan tidak sekali-kali akan membodek sesiapa pun yang berkuasa.

Saya juga gagal berhenti walau disiasat, disaman, dikenakan tekanan. Jumlah kes dan siasatan yang saya terpaksa lalui sejak 2010 hingga sekarang sudah mencecah 20 kes, sebahagiannya menyebabkan saya dilokap dan dijatuhkan hukuman penjara. Tapi saya tetap gagal berhenti.

Yang paling saya gagal ialah saya gagal meletakkan kepentingan peribadi dan keluarga saya setelah saya pikul amanah jadi ahli parlimen.

Setelah anak saya diserang, isteri saya diugut, sepatutnya saya ikut saja apa yang mereka mahu - saya berhenti dari politik, cium tangan dan membodek, walaupun saya tahu ada perkara yang tidak kena.

Tapi sebab saya sudah setuju untuk pikul amanah, mahu tidak mahu, selagi itulah saya perlu teruskan kegagalan saya.

Biarlah gagal di mata manusia, apatah lagi di mata pencacai berbayar, daripada gagal di mata Allah.

4. Some countries even claim Iran is their enemy because it targeted U.S. and Israeli bases and interests in their lands. Should Iran remain idle while U.S. bases in your countries are used to attack it? These are flimsy excuses. The confrontation today is between America and Israel on one side and Iran and the resistance forces on the other. Which side are you on?

5. Think of the future of the Islamic world. You know that America is unfaithful and Israel is your enemy. Pause, reflect, and consider the region’s future. Iran advises you sincerely and does not seek to dominate you.

6. If achieved with full strength, the unity of the Islamic Ummah can guarantee security, progress, and independence for all its countries.
