Islam Shows Peace in Action

Yesterday, at Dawanau Market in Kano State, a Christian woman came with a loudspeaker, preaching to Muslims to follow Jesus.

Even though Nigeria’s Constitution allows freedom of religion, such an act might cause problems in some other states like Bayelsa, Benue, or Anambra if a Muslim tried it there.

But the Muslims in Kano showed true calmness and maturity. They did not argue or react violently. They simply allowed her to speak and go in peace.

This act shows the true spirit of Islam, a religion of peace, patience, and respect for others.

Indeed, Islam is a peaceful religion.

This is a Christian woman, preaching the gospel at Dawanau market in Kano State, the most populous Muslim State in Nigeria, but nobody harmed her, she finished her preaching and went back home safely.

But Muslim in some Christian states can't even own a land!
